First of all, there is no 'pat' answer to this question. As a Current/Future Team Leader, you have only three jobs to do:
1.Motivate
2.Inspire
3.Excite
On that basis, create your message as if you were writing it to yourself. You don't like boring, pat letters, right?
Let him/her know that you are happy they have joined SFI, and especially that they're a part of your team!
Next, let them know that you are available. This will help you more than you'll ever know. Then follow up!(Very Important!!!)
Teach! But lead. Hypocrisy is the death knoll of many a leader. DON'T let it happen to you!
Finally, get excited! This is only the beginning of an exciting journey as you inspire your PSA's and CSA's to do likewise as you do...
And the gift goes on...and on...
