The auctions are a good motivation to team members because you earn 1 action versa point for each bid and 5 or 10 MRPs(if it is a double MRP auction) for each T Credit you use. There are many factors you should consider before encouraging your team members to participate in the auctions. We all want to win an auction but it is important to know that you are bidding against affiliates globally and those that may not necessarily be SFI members.

There is stiff competition in bidding for certain products and depending on the time when you bid, your team members should have a considerable amount of T Credits in their account.

You do not want to have a negative effect where your team member uses up his T Credits only to find that he has not won the auction if that was the intention. If however you have made it clear that the team member is only bidding to receive his action points and in turn win shares of CSAs and PSAs - this should be explained before they take part in the auction (if they have not clearly understood the set up).

Therefore you should judge what the affiliates' intentions are before guiding them into bidding.

I have been in the business for nearly 6 months now-and my views would be as follows.

1. It is a home based business and this is appealing particularly to those who are not permanently employed. SFI provides an opportunity to earn without spending and receiving the training while you learn on the job is equally convincing.

2. In today's era of internet revolution where most households have internet connection, it is easy to utilise the resources you have to earn rather than just use the internet to browse and not earn.

3. SFI's consistent progress and its long history of online success is another factor that will enable prospective Affiliates to realise its repute.

4. It is a business where the family can participate in the success of one member by giving support and encouragement in various ways - this long term benefit is bound to convince new members to join.

5. There is no capital investment required at the time of joining and this immediately creates enthusiasm. Most businesses need huge investment but SFI has no such requirements. Yes, how much you will invest at a later date will also depend entirely on the individual therefore there is no compulsion.

6. The SFI business is viable not just for one age group and this versatility gives people in different circumstances to join-there are no restrictions.

Sponsoring and duplication is the core business within SFI and this is therefore a non-stop exercise from the moment you join the business. It is important that we understand that sponsoring does not mean that you will earn a four or five figure income once you do that. It depends on how many active members you will sponsor and how effective their strategies of duplication are that will determine your success.

You can sponsor 100 affiliates in one month and find that you have 10 active affiliates whereas in the 2nd month you can sponsor 50 affiliates and have 20 active members. There is no definitive measure by which you will be in a position to assess how many active affiliates will join your team.

The chances of having more active affiliates increase when you sponsor a higher number of people and this is probably the basis on which you should pan out your advertising campaign. On the other hand it is also possible that you pick and choose just 5 affiliates each month and ensure that each one becomes active before they can duplicate and follow your example.

The amount of resources at your disposal will also determine the number you will sponsor each month if you are looking at paid advertising.

Whatever your targets are, you must understand that there is no point in sponsoring 100s of affiliates none of whom will become active! Your personal input with the affiliates you sponsor is of paramount importance so keep in mind that your work is incomplete once you sponsor "a number" of affiliates. They in turn must have the presence of mind to continue with the business that you have started and sponsor more........the chain continues!

1.. Leaders within your team/network shows commitment to SFI long term - this is what you need to earn an income that is more than reasonable.

2.. It is not only important but necessary to have a team member who will bring to the fore a strong foundation and this is achieved through the various leadership levels.

3..the strength of your network relies heavily on the experience and knowledge of leaders who are then highly conversant with the business to pass on their know-how to others in the team. This brings cohesion in the team and members are able to handle business challenges with less anxiety or frustration.

4..the chances of having team members who are inactive is significantly reduced because they are consistently developing their team and striving to achieve higher rank and income levels through their role as leaders.

Secondly, friends are a source of vital knowledge and can enhance your SFI business by giving you tips and useful advice on how to tackle your business whether it is in the field of IT, Marketing, Customer Relations or any other area. From my own experience I believe the first thing to ensure is that you should activate your Standing Order (SO) in the 1st week of the new month.

In the last 5 months since I joined, there was no specific pattern how I placed my SO. However in the 6th month I decided to place my SO early in the beginning of the month. This reduces the time you spend on worrying about whether there are any technical hitches on the website or whether there is a systems problem with your card or bank. I am much more relaxed to now handle the important matters for my business.

Once you are an Executive Affiliate, you have a lot more time on your hands to focus on building your team, recruiting new PSAs, supporting your team through weekly emailers and venturing into new areas of marketing and advertising.

Do not shy away from participating in contests that are provided by SFI or your upline team members. This is a valuable lesson in interacting with different groups of people who you will never know but may become useful supporters of your online store, if you have one. If you do not have one then, it will encourage you to have friends who will support your store and take the risk of having one.

The Forum is also another means of learning, participate and look for solutions to your difficulties here. You will become well informed about your business and this gives you an added advantage when it comes to building your team and your business.

Participate in auctions as they are a source of bargains for you and your business. You will win.

Use social websites to share links of your products as well as those that will generate valuable income for you. Distribute gift cards and do not stop at that. Strengthen your line of PSAs with your various methods of marketing.

This will start you on a great month where achieving goals and success will become second nature.

Any successful business requires certain basic but important elements without which, you will be left wondering what you have got yourself into. These include
a). Being passionate about what you do
b). Not working by the clock
c). Diversification
d). Positive Attitude
e). Investment

When you take all the above, it goes without saying that you will need to spend TIME. This is not a 9 to 5 job and your input as a business owner requires your time. In the same way an offline business runs, unless you are involved in an illegal deal, overnight success is not going to happen and your earnings will be based on your time to find active affiliates with whom you will build an income.

I like to EMPHASIZE that this is not a quick rich scheme immediately I introduce SFI to anyone and it prepares them to understand how income builds up. This is not difficult because I talk about my journey, my climb to aim to the top. And, I have many areas to draw my inspiration from. I have my first hand experience to show the Affiliates what I have achieved with time.

I keep regular snapshots of my 3 months' progress, my monthly Scoreboard and I can easily pick up my average earnings to explain how my achievements are directly related to the Movers on my list, their qualifications and how active they are. At this point it is easy to discuss the reality that you can earn a high income but even if you recruit 5 people who we assume will become leaders in their first month, there is absolutely no guarantee that that will maintain their leadership level on a long term. Therefore, it takes time to establish and know who will be in the business long term.

This means you must also be patient before you can call yourself successful. You would have to see the progress of the affiliates under you especially the PSAs who will most likely join you a few days or a few hours after you! For instance initially when I recruited 2 PSAs, 1 of them has been with me since but the 2nd one deserted the business after finding it a chore not to have an active team. These factors have to be taken into account and this definitely is a factor in how slowly or progressively you will move. So expecting richness or success quickly will not happen and such examples help new affiliates understand the concept better.

Finally, I find out a little more detail about the new recruit and then use that in relevance to SFI. One of my downlines is a farmer - it's not a full time occupation but I ask her about her harvest. Does she get the fruit immediately she plants? She answers this without getting anxious about not being able to become successful in a few months. Personal examples are a good way to compare and helps the affiliates understand better.
