If you enjoy blogging, have a chosen niche with knowledge about that niche, a hosted blog can be effective. Blogs are simple to set up and easy to maintain.

A website is of greater value when completed, it is like your business property. A website gives you more credibility as you brand yourself.

My advice is for you to go for a website with a blog, most sitebuilders have a blogging feature so you get the best of both a website and a blog.

Should I promote participation in Pricebenders to my team? If so, for what reason(s)?

The answer is: Yes! Absolutley.

If your team members succeed you will succeed , if your team grows your business will grow.
When you bid at Pricebenders you not only have the chance to purchase items at greatly reduced prices, but you are able to build a business by acquiring VersaPoints(VP).

To get a good income you need to maintain a number of active team members who are advancing up the ladder as team leaders themselves.

How do you get your affiliates to become SERIOUS business builders in SFI?

It depends on their level of motivation. if they are motivated you will know by their activities since sign up. You can reward them for a good job and motivate them to do better if they are not motivated

You cannot force them to do anything unless they are motivated or because it is what they want to pursue in the first place.

Get to know what their goals are. If it is to build a business, show them the way. It is important that serious business people are prepared to

From Day 1 all affiliates must get involved in what is going to grow and succeed. Since there is a lot of information and pages to cover; however, it is a good idea that they focus on certain actions to prevent information overload and quitting too soon.

For a starting affiliate:
In the first few days
-Complete his registration
-Set his goals
-Complete his profile & Upload a photo
-Take advantage of the Fast Track
-Send his sponsor a commitment message
-Whitelist

Why do so many affiliates become inactive shortly after joining SFI?

I will start with myself and what could have stopped me when I signed up.
The person is pursuing other opportunities at the time and SFI seems too complicated. Too much stuff to navigate while another company has much less. For someone who cannot communicate in English this could be a "Skip This One."
What is not known at this time is that there is a lot to navigate because there is a lot of opportunities and resources to earn.

Firstly I am not planning on using on its own where SFI links are banned. Secondly since it is a new gateway there are many possibilities not yet discovered, so it is still early to get the best answers.

I plan to hook it up to my custom domain name and use it wherever I advertise my other gateways, in FREE or PAID advertising.

Because it is unique I would:
1-Use it as testimonials on my website or blog, people love testimonials to help with their decision

Is it wise to 'bribe' your downline with Gift Certificates, TCredits or other incentives? Or does this practice come back and bite you?

It is not advised to bribe them, No!. This means you wouldn't be rewarding inactive, lazy affiliates or those with no time for SFI. You reach out to those ones with motivating words through newsletters and eCards.

You will give your gift certificates and TCredits to reward those who are working hard towards their goals or when they reach a milestone by being active.

How can you be an SFI team leader if you are not a born leader?

My answer is based on how I interpret your question.

A 'Born Leader' is a term used to describe certain types of leaders. Persons who have a natural ability to take the lead while others naturally follow them. These leaders become innovators in the leadership world; those who are guided by them become successful and learn be good leaders themselves.

Unfortunately, these leaders can be found
