If you barely have enough to support yourself and you want to encourage your team that your are there for them, the best way to support them is by keeping in contact with them as much as possible without offending them. If you are fairly new to SFI yourself and funds aren't available then I think that emailing them with advise and tips will show them you can be a great leader down the road.
Concerning your question, I've come to realise that you can only do so much for an individual who was also attracted to the SFI program for pretty much the same reason you joined. Sponsoring and supporting can only be done when you have enough but you can always encourage and read up a lot of the SFI advice and articles so you could learn more and be able to support morally or in an advisory capacity. Encouragement and support really doesn't have to always be financial. You could always come straight out and say you don't have to spare. hope this helps... cheers and goodluck.

I am in the same boat, but I still keep sending out team letters in hopes that they get back on track. The main focus is to stay on track yourself. Make sure you log in everyday don't get discouraged and fight negative with positive and positive always wins. The best thing to do is buy a S-builder share and get some more affiliates assigned to you. Keep your chin up and be a great sponsor for your team.

You can offer your support not only by money,but also by sending team mails,motivating by quotes etc.
Just make sometime to have a chat with your downline daily.
Enter daily drawings and t-hour drawings and distribute your winning stuff.
Encourage them daily by congratulating their achievements in SFI.

You dont necessarily have to support them financially, you can help by suggesting ways to get things done, guide them through the right path, encourage them to make little purchases, advertise, monitor their performances through your geneology page follow SFI training tips and communicate with them always. Let them know earning their maximum VP daily is sacrosant.
Kindly offer them word of encouragement, keep your weak point to urself. Enlight them on benefit that accompany putting money in any investment am sure you are going to earn from their spending. They shall move ahead and you their sponsor also moving.
Encourage them to buy wave3,s-builder coop,and others that we definetely keep them moving. As they move you also earn from there duplication
