Hi,

When i joined SFI 8 years ago, we never used to have SFI Chat and we could only rely on emails. Look at how relationships are strengthened when you are chatting with your friends in Facebook or Skype and there is immediate response.

This chat eradicates the illusion of people thinking that messages sent to them via emails are computer generated but a real person just like them. Usually, when an affiliate joins and i happen to be online, i immediately initiate the chat so

Dear SFI family,

I am using SFI Instant Messaging only once when I found new PSA's or CSA's in my Genealogy as soon as possible because the new affiliates may gets confused when they SIGN-UP to SFI.

I just post a "WELCOME message as well as a message of Assurance of Guidance or Support to be successful-throughout the journey in SFI."

I also drop my Contacts, i.e., E-mail ID, G-Talk ID, Facebook ID whichever ID's, so that the new Affiliate can contact me

I have on several occasions attempted to communicate with my team members online through SFIM to no avail.

However, whenever you see the yellow bubble showing against the name of any of your team members on the Genealogy page or under the affiliate snapshot when you click on his ID or name, it means he is online at that time.

Click on the yellow bubble, and a dialogue space is opened for communication. We can the chat, but it had never given me positive response. It is if

Whenever i see someone is online,i send them a short message like"hello, how are you" and then wait untill they respond.

Or when they are making good progress,i praise them for what they are doing and encourage them to keep going.

I always keep it short, making sure not to disturb them too long.If they seem willing to chat,i take a little more time. But i leave that up to them.

I hope this helps.

SFIIM is a quick method to connect with anyone in your team - down-line or up-line.

The use of this communication tool is great for communicating short comments, tips and/or hints with fellow team members directly. It is great for checking in with those who are currently on line at the same time as you to provide colleague support and solidarity.

This method/tool for communication is no different than a post-card which is typically used to quickly share your personal thoughts

SFIM in not a resource that I have used too often, yet, in working this business. It is, however, a great way to have one-on-one contact with your affiliates. In my experience, I have found some affiliates that prefer to not use this function, others that do/will, and some (?), I'm not sure as they do not respond. Perhaps they have yet to learn that it is available. Whatever the case, if contacted in such a manner, I always respond and so should each of you, even if SFIM is not your preferred manner

Like any other instant messenger, I use the SFI messenger as a tool to keep my abreast with my team with tips and words of encouragement. My best way of using it is to ensure that most of m team or at least three quarter are on then I send a message that will stimulate interaction as a way of encouraging a free flow discussion or chat.

I try to have a topic or message that will move you to want to chip in something for example, ever wonder what you can do to win on TripleClicks Pricebender

Hi Wesley,

This is a perfect question... I was just thinking about this. How does our other affiliates use SFI Instant Messaging to communicate with one another?

As for me, I use it simply because it helps me build up the rapport from our team. To continue to build a great relationship with your business, you have to also treat your team as your partners. They are not only here to dramatically contribute to your success but also to give something to look forward to in the future

My best tip:

SFI has everything laid out step by step in the "To-Do List" and "LaunchPad" 30 training series - an excellent training course provided free for all Affiliates. Most important in your 1st month in SFI... complete all the actions step as part of your training process.
