It's not fair, nor a good idea, to offer inactives as an incentive payoff to your active affiliates. If you have affiliates who are stretching to accomplish something in order to qualify for an incentive that you're offering, give them something worthwhile. If the payoff is affiliates, they shouldn't be inactive affiliates.
If you have affiliates that have leadership potential or are good/strong leaders, perhaps it might be a good strategy to reassign your inactives to them. Discuss this with your active affiliate first. Appraise them of the situation. Next, notify the inactive affiliate (in the event they respond to SFI) of what is taking place. Sometimes a fresh perspective, and different approaches from a new sponsor might trigger some initiative with the inactive affiliate.
Reassignments, when done correctly, can be a possible strategy with which to retain more affiliates and possibly even be a way to produce an active affiliate within your team. It's kind of like transplanting a tree--sometimes it's what the tree needs. It then is really a win, win, WIN situation!
