Thank you for your question because it is not one that I have seen before but if we are team leaders, it is one that has to be considered. I learned to be a good sponsor by following the example of my sponsor but the only communication that I have had with my co-sponsor is her stream posts. I don't receive her newsletters. Because I have a fantastic sponsor, I haven't needed her help so I haven't contacted her.
I do send my CSAS a welcome message that includes my contact information and I do send them my weekly newsletters. If I receive a message from them, I reply promptly. I do want to help but I don't want to seem pushy. You are right in saying that it is a fine line but I don't want my CSAS to fall through a crack in that line and not receive the help and encouragement that they deserve.
