Gift Cards are meant for prospective TC members, not for SFI affiliates, a difference I did not understand at first myself. So Gift Cards are distributed to people that you want to interest in the online store, whether as an ECA or just as a shopper.

I actually read about someone who gave a prospect a Gift Card and then the prospect signed up as an affiliate, meaning he could not use the Gift Card, and then opted out because he thought it was all a scam. Hopefully the person managed to get him back, for instance by offering him a Gift Certificate instead. These are meant for affiliates.

So if you want to interest people in becoming affiliates it is actually better to get them signed up and then give them Gift Certificates or some TCredits. As the Gift Card is 6 TCredits and you can give an affiliate up to 10 TCredits this is even a better reward. However I would not suggest offering rewards to new affiliates until they are starting to get active, unless it is for instance a friend, colleague or family member that you feel sure will get a kickstart by starting with a reward.

If you want both to have your cake and eat it, ergo both TC and SFI, it is probably better to obtain the contact info of the prospect, send them your Gift Card, wait until they have redeemed it or it has expired, and THEN contact them about SFI and its possibilities.

Gift Cards were designed for one purpose and that was to be tolls for you when you are referring TripleClicks customers.There is a lot written on the use of these cards, online, offline, warm, market, cold market.

SFI and TC are separate entities. They have different purposes. SFI uses TC as a basis for its monetary income. TC is complete unto its own self. The Gift Cards introduce people to this gigantic global shopping mall with the Member Listings acting as the flea market in the parking lot.

If you try to use then for introducing SFI, then you would be confusing your prospects. They may even accuse you of pushing a bait and switch scam.

We are not given addresses of our PRMs so we can only contact those we know. Choose your prospects wisely. Who would you want as affiliates and who for a customer base? Get and keep as many contact informations as you can for future use. But don't try to add SFI too soon. .

Be satisfied having two separate teams with two purposes. In addition to handing out Gift Cards, refer some into the Wave 3 program and have them refer for you.

TripleClicks gift cards are a great way to introduce your prospects to TripleClicks. Once they are there, they will see what the excitement is about. I believe that it's best to let the new PRM discover SFI because you don't want to distract them from participating at TripleClicks. We understand that you can become an affiliate and share in the profits at TripleClicks. But giftcards are intended to get customers. Therefore, you want your new PRM to be totally focused on taking advantage of the perks of the gift card. When they find something they love they are likely to tell their friends about you and you will get another PRM for the price of one! This is referred to as the endless chain. Everyone knows at least 10 people. So if you tell 10 people who get excited about TripleClicks and they tell 10 people you can get 100 PRMs in less than a week!

However if you try to incorporate SFI then you have to shift their focus from spending a little money to investing money in hopes of a return on their investment. That's a horse of a different color. Sponsoring PSAs is done with different tools and resources. So, I say stick with the intended purpose - get PRMs and if you get one really excited about TripleClicks that could multiply very quickly for you because people love to shop for bargains and gifts for their friend. You have anniversaries, birthdays, special occasions, and just shopping because it's fun to buy something new. Morever, if they find out about SFI then they can always convert and you'd be glad they did either way.

The purpose of the Gift Card is to attract new PRMs into TripleClicks. Once enrolled, if they decide to become SFI affiliates, they automatically join your team.

There is no way to keep in contact with your PRMs through SFI, so in order to stay in touch with them after they sign up, I prefer to use digital Gift Cards, and on my promo page, they need to subscribe to an autoresponder list I have set up specifically for the purpose, before they get a redemption code. That way, I can continue to talk to them about the benefits of both TripleClicks membership and becoming an SFI affiliate over a period of time.

If you are using the physical cards, you can tie them to SFI by giving them an SFI business card along with the Gift Card, and briefly tell them that if they enjoy the games and other benefits of TripleClicks, there is a good chance some of their friends will as well, and that by becoming an SFI affiliate they can benefit from sharing it with them, always stressing that becoming an affiliate if completely free, with no purchase requirements ever.

As for getting them excited, you need to be excited yourself. That will shine through, even if your pitch itself is not as polished as you might like! And the best way to stay excited is to review the incredible opportunity on a daily basis, using the To-Do list.

SFI is a way to promote products, services and even for the leisure enthusiast there are games and other interests.

When I give away gift cards to prospects, I always tie them to both TripleClicks membership and SFI affiliate registration.

Each of the distribution methods offers us opportunities to highlight SFI's numerous features, benefits and selling points we can use to build excitement.

We can give a gift card
- by hand to family members, relatives, friends, or store clerks when we are shopping;
- add it to a tip at a restaurant, or after a taxi ride;
-by direct mail;
- through a Gift Card Co-op; or
- with an online promotion linked to an email marketing campaign, a blog, or a webinar.

The opportunities are endless.

Depending on whether it is an offline or an online distribution method, the first goal is to identify what interests the gift card recipient. We should tie the gift card to SFI and TripleClicks' benefits and features, depending on how the prospect answers the following questions:
- are they employed?
- do they run their own business?
- what are their online buying habits?
- what are their hobbies?
- are they sports fans?
- do they play online games?
- do they have any interest or curiosity about penny auctions?

Thus, we can get a sports fan excited about the Uber-Picks games, a business owner about the TripleClicks store, a store clerk about the potential earnings of the SFI affiliate program.

In other words, each gift card give away should be introduced with a presentation of, at least, one aspect of SFI that can help the prospect improve their condition. Distributing Tripleclicks gift card to prospect, you are receiving PRMs which will make your business profitable. As marketers, we try as much as possible to prevent overloading our prospects with information and what I normally do is first to encourage them to shop on tripleclicks with the gift cards given to them, letting them have a fill of what the tripleclicks online shop is all about.

When we have achieved that, we can then inform them what SFI is all about and how it's linked to tripleclicks. Let them know that joining is free at no extra cost, that they can learn alot on SFI through Forums, ASKsc, through their Sponsor/Co sponsor as well as SFI large library for free.

As referrals or Sponsors let them know that Tripleclicks and SFI works hand in hand and that they can earn a residual income by doing simple tasks which are done on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. One of the great marketing tools that have been made available to all SFI affiliates is the TripleClicks gift cards. These cards have a $12 value (6 TCredits and 100 MRP [Member Reward Points]).

By giving out the TripleClicks gift cards properly you can gain new PRMs (Personally Referred Members) that you will draw commissions on their purchases for long as you remain a member of SFI and of course as long as your referral continues to purchase.

When your cards are accepted – as you give them to your referral, collect their contact information before leaving them. The reason for this is once they become a member of TripleClicks (which must be done to redeem the Gift Card) you will not have access to your referrals email address or any other information.

If you are giving the TripleClicks Gift Card on-line then have them fill out a form with their name and email address before issuing them the redeem code that comes with the electronic cards. Again this is done because once they log in as a PRM with TripleClicks you will not have access to their contact information.

Now as far as getting your PRM excited over SFI at the same time you are giving them a gift card is not a very good idea. This is why –

I did just that for a person I met in a store, by the time that person got home he decided to go on line and visit the URL I gave him on my SFI business card. He signed up as an affiliate.

Later that same day he tried to use his TripleClicks Gift Card and it was denied because he was an affiliate in SFI and affiliates cannot use the cards. At that time the person decided to opt-out – the reason he gave was that this was a scam. This was two years ago and I have never seen that person again nor was I collecting their contact information at that time – I learned the hard way. Now you don’t have to go through the same thing.

Give your new PRMs some slack time before contacting them about SFI – That is if you have their permission to contact them. Ask them what they redeemed their card on, if they haven’t redeemed it yet make some game suggestions or tell them other ways to use the TCredits. Follow up a few days later.

After your first follow up at that time it would be OK to share a little about SFI and being an affiliate in your team – But in reality I must say this:

When prospecting with TripleClicks Gift Cards you are trying to build your group of purchasing members as they purchase you gain their VP and the commissions. The same as though they were your down-line affiliates. A strong group of customers purchasing product or playing games and attending the auctions can be very profitable and you don’t have to train them or babysit them as they continue to be involved – What can be better?!

Emelinda, I would strongly advise you against using of TripleClicks gift cards to gain SFI PSAs.

Firstly because it is against SFI’s rules and regulations to contact a person once that person is a TripleClicks PRM.

Secondly, if you do explain to that person prior he /she sign up to TripleClicks how to sign up to SFI after the person signed up to TripleClicks, he/she might think that you are trying to trick them.

Most important is that you do not need to link the TripleClicks gift cards to your SFI PSAs because SFI has put in place the SPECIAL PROMO MANAGER that you may use to give your PSAs a starting gift of either 3 to 0 TCredits or one dollar. Just one more thing, if you do decide to give them TCredits tell them that TCredits is a form of money because some people do not understand the difference between debit and credit.
