Gift Cards are meant for prospective TC members, not for SFI affiliates, a difference I did not understand at first myself. So Gift Cards are distributed to people that you want to interest in the online store, whether as an ECA or just as a shopper.

I actually read about someone who gave a prospect a Gift Card and then the prospect signed up as an affiliate, meaning he could not use the Gift Card, and then opted out because he thought it was all a scam. Hopefully the person managed to get him back, for instance by offering him a Gift Certificate instead. These are meant for affiliates.

So if you want to interest people in becoming affiliates it is actually better to get them signed up and then give them Gift Certificates or some TCredits. As the Gift Card is 6 TCredits and you can give an affiliate up to 10 TCredits this is even a better reward. However I would not suggest offering rewards to new affiliates until they are starting to get active, unless it is for instance a friend, colleague or family member that you feel sure will get a kickstart by starting with a reward.

If you want both to have your cake and eat it, ergo both TC and SFI, it is probably better to obtain the contact info of the prospect, send them your Gift Card, wait until they have redeemed it or it has expired, and THEN contact them about SFI and its possibilities.

Hi Ryan,

Since you are apparently located in the US you can buy many products which would probably end up at the same price you would buy at the local store. Have a look at your purchases of:
-cleaning stuff: dishwashing liquid, detergents, spray cleaners
-toiletries: toothpaste, cosmetics, deodorant, shampoo, body lotions, body butters
-foods: chocolate, coffee, tea, protein shakes, muesli bars

For many of us who are located outside of the US it is a matter of finding stuff with free shipping that you can buy at the same price as local, which means it has to have a high added value, such as:
- cosmetics (mascara, eyeliner, foundation, powders, especially those with an added value such as SPF)
-vitamins and herbal teas and food supplements
-clothes (again depending very much on what you need, this may be more a one-time thing)
-sport&fitness items: yoga mats, elastic bands, training clothes, Iphone armbands.

I would definitely recommend looking for novelty items when you need to buy a present for someone. It can be really anything, depending on the person's interest--- a new pepper grinder, or other gourmet food item; a funny apron; a calendar; a book; a movie; a gadget; a piece of jewelry; a subscription to a magazine; a pair of gloves; a hat; pfft, even a TC gift card. An E-book might be a really good idea. But even a specialty tea, or a specialty coffee, or whatever special might work.

IN a way it is easier to recruit people from your own surroundings and in your own language but I would recommend being open to the whole world. To me it is not the least important where my team comes from as communication goes mostly via Internet. However I am using my country connections in another way.

-I have gone to the local job center and recruited prospects there. Most of those coming there are immigrants or other people looking for a job. Many are also interested in any other way of making money. The trouble there is often that they do not speak English, and while the Translate button on the SFI website helps I feel it is a hinder. Anyway that is one way in which you can approach your local market.

-I have also put up SFI flyers at the local supermarket's bulletin board, as a matter of fact on any bulletin board where it is allowed.

- I hand out Gift Cards to my warm market (colleagues, friends, family) and give them a link that is appropriate (ECA, Join my Team, TC, Pricebenders or Eager Zebra). I also tell them enthusiastically about SFI and how it could help them further.

- If there is any job fair or other meeting that is appropriate I go there and hand out flyers and try to find prospects.

- I noticed there are very few ECAs from my own country. Yet there are many small businesses in my country. Via the small business ads I contact them personally in our own language and invite them to become ECAs. It takes a lot of time, but I hope it will be rewarding. If they contact me I send them a Gift Card. This earns me 10 VP and has the added advantage that if they become an approved ECA I will earn 100 VP + direct commissions.

- I have thought of going to the two local casinos I know and handing out PriceBenders and Eager Zebra cards but I have not come around to doing that yet.

I guess that you must do what you feel most comfortable with, as then you have the greatest chance of success. I hope this gives you some useful ideas.

SFI is so versatile that it is easy to lose focus on the main issue, which is that the only way we all can make money is by selling products from TripleClicks. That is where the money comes from, and we should NEVER forget that.Whether we are selling products by signing on new affiliates who might put in SOs or buy Credits or whatever, or whether we are getting in interested customers (PRMs), we are creating sales for TC and that is where our money comes from. Simple.

Of course teambuilding and duplication is essential. But why? Because it makes other people than ourselves (who may be much better at it, let's face it) sell TripleClicks products, and recruit others again who do. And we benefit from that financially.

Let us not forget that TC products are also TCredits and Gift Cards and so on. So if you can get people interested in the auctions or EZ games this will sell TCredits and thus create commission for you. This is one of the great things about SFI, that there are so many methods to make money. Personally I focus now on recruiting new team members and recruiting new ECAs, since I am not so good at advertising.

The secret to making money is therefore very simple: sell TC products yourself via your warm market or advertising; and/or focus on teambuilding and getting your team to do it for you.

1. The first advantage of having CSAs from your own country is that you usually speak their language (not always) and not everybody is that good at English. So approach them in your own language and try to help explaining how things work. It may be more important than you think.

2. The second advantage is that you can offer to meet them personally to help them get started (again, not always, it depends on location). They might even turn out to also be prospective ECAs.

3. Knowing the customs and culture of your country also helps as some things that can work in one country don't work in another. Approaching strange persons personally may work in some countries but not in others. Something that works well for you may also work well for them, but not for a CSA from a different country.

4. Approaching prospect ECAs may be easier if you are in the same country. If I could find an active affiliate (I have 51 but none of them are active this month) in the capital of our country I could guide him/her to many of the chain stores' headquarters, which are not practically approachable to me in person but might be to them.

This is a really good question to which I have read many answers (and rated most "not helpful"). First I would like to agree with one member who said something like: why aren't there more Six Figure Incomers there who would like to share their stories of how they got there with us strugglers? THAT would be really and truly motivating.

Gery, are you reading this? Please share your story and/or have some of them directly under you do the same. I hope you have an 8-figure income or more and you deserve it in my opinion.

I wish more people would just share their story instead of recapping the Compensation Plan, I can read that for myself thank you, or even more moronic coming up with "examples" of gigantic earnings out of thin air.

So here's mine.
I have been with SFI since the 28th of August. My commission for October is $53,24, which I used to buy X-mas presents at TC. $50 of this I won in the Daily Grand, so my actual "earnings" were $3,24. Am I disappointed? Not at all. For you see,I did not get a single person other than myself to buy at Triple Clicks. For here is the key which many of you don't seem to see:

Getting income at SFI is about GENERATING SALES AT TRIPLECLICKS. Everything and anything else is just frills!

You cannot expect to earn money if you are not generating sales somehow from other people. It does not matter what rank you have or how long you have been at SFI-it is about how effective you are at getting TC products sold. If you cannot do this yourself you need to have a downline team doing this for you!

Most people mention a break-even, meaning your commission is paying for your SO, at 6-12 months. This seems reasonable. But it depends on your input.

I started my own business in 2001. It broke even in 2005 (4 years). Sales grew by 50-100% every year. When I sold it in 2010, I was still unable to pay myself as owner and director more than $500 a month, and that working 24/7, 364 days a year (1st of January was my free day!). I never had a bank loan or anything. However, if I had had an investor, the business would have grown much faster and bigger.

So the long and the short of it is, if you want to earn, start focusing on selling (somehow).

I do hope that some good earners are willing to share their story because that really would help.
