I think that the most obvious answer is making money. It is very important for affiliates to know about how to make money in a business like SFI . So you just have to be honest by telling them that if they start a business and treat it like a part time hobby or something to do when they are bored and need to kill time then they are not going to make any money at all.
The best tool for this is The rules of Success, I can assume that you have been reading and following the rules. The next step is to be creative and write newsletters of each individual rule especially the first two because this one especially explains how important it is to treat SFI like a business and the need to do something everyday to build and grow a business so please emphasize on the first two rules. You can also create slide show presentations etc...
Nothing speaks louder to people than the stories of millionaires and famous people throughout history who all have one thing in common , they treated their career and business very seriously by committing themselves to work and not simply killing time when they have nothing else to do. So I suggest giving them real life success stories as a way to make them understand how hard and seriously committed they had to be in order to be successful.
Facebook: How many of your affiliates are on Facebook? I am sure that they all have accounts there and of course they must really enjoy themselves when they connect and share right? So tell me what would happen to Facebook if the founder Mark Zuckerberg treated this multi million dollar business as a hobby? Facebook is also a serious business with money making potential but in order to make money out of this you also have to treat it like a business so that is why the founder and CEO is so successful and making billions of dollars so I think this is also a very powerful example of how true it is when following the rules of success.
Be the perfect example: You must be a team leader if you can be the Diamond or Platinum then all the better because in order to achieve this guess what you have to do? Yep Treat SFI like a business. When writing emails you must show them all the work you did to get all the achievements you have. When your affiliates log in they see your badges so this is also something that can help them understand how serious SFI is as a business. I also recommend that you share your wisdom in the forum, Ask SC and your leadership page, not only will they receive knowledge but they will also see how much time and effort you are investing and also your achievements will allow them to see the earning potential.
