It is the Marketer’s dream to sponsor serious affiliates in their SFI and TripleClicks home business. Every time we post the next ad we’ll be thinking; “This will be where I strike gold, or I’m sure this time I will dig up my diamond!”

Is it even possible to find a prospect that will become a serious affiliate in SFI? At the very beginning of when a prospect becomes an affiliate in SFI and starts to become active is the only way we will ever know if we sponsored (enrolled) a jewel or not.

With SFI and TripleClicks being a free to join program it will be difficult to enroll only serious affiliates. The word “Free” attracts a lot of “Fool’s gold” and “industrial diamonds.”

But there is something we can do to help better the odds of finding those who possibly can become serious affiliates with a little guidance and support from the sponsor. And that would be to “Pre-Qualify” your prospects before signing them up.

The methods for Pre-qualifying prospects are simple questions that you ask them before enrolling them in SFI.

If your prospect is a “face to face” (warm market) contact as your explaining the business opportunity with them simply drop a small bomb and state; “I am securing my future income with my home business and I only put in an hour a day and about $40 a month.” Believe me from that point on your prospect will be weighing out his budget to see if they can do the same with their time and money.

If your prospect is from “on-line” contacts that come from ads you are running then your ad needs to do the “Pre-Qualifying” for you.

I am currently running an ad that asks a series of four or five questions and if the answer is yes to all of them then I encourage them to click my JMT (Join My Team) page. If they answer no to any of the questions then I actually suggest that they are not ready for an “at home” based business. The questions I ask go something like this:

1. Do you have an Internet connection with a computer, lap-top, or smart phone?
2. Can you spend 3 to 5 hours a week on with your new home business?
3. Are you able to invest at least $40 a month in your own business?
4. Are you willing to work for 1 or 2 years before you see yourself earning your dream income?

Using this kind of ad you will not receive as many “hits” but the ones who click on the JMT URL are those who are not afraid of the questions you asked and are willing to do the necessary work to achieve success.

I must also state that even with the pre-qualifying questions by Internet or in person does not mean that they will not become inactive. It just makes the odds a little bit better that you will strike gold and find diamonds.

The best questions I have to ask someone to tell if they are serious and dedicated are as follows.

1. If I show you a retail marketplace with nearly 4 million members already, offering nearly 100,000 products from 6,000 vendors that runs a hugely successful Penny Auction are you ready to promote this offer should you decide to join?

2. When you join a program like our affiliate marketing company are you aware that even though affiliate programs are free to join they do require an investment of time and/or money to generate income because nothing is earned unless sales are made?

3. How much time do you have per day and per week to devote to a Home Based business and can you make this time a part of your schedule instead of being inconsistent in when you work?

4. Are you willing to wait 6 months to a year before your investments in your success start building a substantial return?

5. Will you follow instructions closely and learn our methods to build your business or do you have your own system you will be applying to this business opportunity?

6. What are your goals for the next 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, and 5 years? What will you sacrifice to reach those goals?

These questions are all important and I would be hard pressed to choose a best one but question 6 is probably the most important because a good prospect needs to realize that getting what they want in life is going to take some sacrifices. You can do this without money, but you will have to give up more time, lose more sleep, spend less time on things you love to do, and put up with a degree of discomfort, doing things like cold prospecting, phone follow-ups, and supporting your team no matter how silly their questions may seem or how often these questions might come.

From my perspective, on how to motivate a potential affiliate to help them be successful with SFI, there are three series of questions I find useful to ask.

1. Whether they have been in business for themselves, and if so, what lessons have they learned from their experience in running it.

2. What goals they are pursuing now and what motivate them to seek to join an online business.

3. Do they currently have an online or a brick and mortar business they are running.

Their answers to these three questions will give me clear indications of the kind of an affiliate they may be in their first months with SFI.

Their experience or lack of there off, their motivation, their full commitment to SFI, their ability to work on their own, their capacity to adapt, all this critical information can be derived from those questions.

If you look at your SFI profile, right above, within "My Account", you will find these very questions at the core of the information we provide when we register.

As sponsors, we want to have it first hand for an evaluation of the success potential of our recruits.

Yes, we all want affiliates who are serious about this business; and, it is worthwhile emphasizing work ethics as critical to making it with SFI.

However, it is also critical that we do not sound as we are conducting a job interview.

We do want to find the best to bring into SFI. However, it is not always a 100% certainty that a prospect who seems to fit the above profile will be always successful.

It is not true either that a prospect who does not seem to fit that profile will not be successful.

In other words, we should never discourage anybody for joining SFI. Just imagine, you may sound negative or rejecting somebody, they turn around and register with another sponsor, and prove you wrong in your first impression.

The motive of our prospecting efforts should be to make potential affiliates aware of what it takes to be successful with SFI, but not to hinder their enrollment in any form. Again, we should avoid giving the impression that we are hiring for job.

The idea we should convey is that we are looking for business owners who will be our associates, with whom we are going to work together to help them reach their goals and achieve their dreams.

This is the message we need to convey. The questions we are going to ask should help bring out, from that prospect, that desire to succeed by working with us as SFI Team members.

I believe that the most important question when seeking serious SFI affiliates - should never be directly asked of prospects. And I don't think prospects are being regularly asked this.

The reason why I say this is because as prospects we all have one things in common even before we join SFI. We want money. You can sugar coat it any why you like but that is why we joined. We can say - we want to pay off my debts - want a better standard of living - want to be wealthy - etc but it all boils down to having enough money to achieve these.

How serious we are about earning that money is another matter altogether.

When we join as affiliates, SFI asks (indirectly) how serious we are about earning that money by encouraging us to complete our registrations and our profile. As sponsors we read these and most of the time we can tell if an affiliate is serious. Becoming a Fast Tracker is another great indicator of how serious an Affiliate is about SFI. They also tend to be great communicators.

All prospects want money and they are serious enough to a certain degree to go a head and sign up as Affiliates.

Have a look at the Affiliates profiles and their actions and their communications with you to determine the really serious ones and then work with them.

All new affiliates must understand that their SFI business is not a "get-rich-quick" scheme. I would ask them:

Are you willing to invest some money and the time to learn how SFI works and what you need to do to make your business profitable or do you expect to start making money with SFI without investing?

Then explain that the first month in SFI should be used to learn as much as possible about the business. Explain that they should concentrate on 3 major points and on reading everything they can.

First: Complete all actions on the "Getting Started" list. ("whitelisting” SFIMG.com, "Affiliate Profile", ”Goals” ec t.) If possible become a “Fast Track: member. When you complete the “Getting Started” list you have all the actions done you need for “Fast Track” except a $20.00 purchase and the New Member Pack (NMP) for $20.00 will fill that part.

Second: Log into SFI every day and complete all actions that need to be done (Daily, Weekly and Monthly). They should make this a habit.

Third: Start working on “SFI Basics” and the 30 “Launchpad Tasks. They should take their time with these. Read and re-read them until they are fully understood. If they need help ask their sponsors or go to the forum for explanations. Once they fully understand each lesson they should answer the question for points and put into practice what they have learned. Then go on to the next lesson. Getting the points without learning what to do and how to do it means nothing.

If they understand this and follow it they should be OK.

As a SFI business owner, you need to continually spend time in prospecting. Your time is very much valuable in engaging with prospects that have indicated strong interest in online networking business opportunity.

In answering your question, one thing needs clarification. Don’t think that by just picking one most important question to ask your prospects will therefore lead them to become serious SFI affiliates.

When you first meet your potential prospect, you need to initiate a natural conversation that fully engages your prospect. You might ask your prospect questions, which are crafted in fashion predisposing him/her to talk. The more you are able to get a prospect talking about himself, the more likely you are to develop healthy rapport.

After you’ve established rapport and a level of mutual trust with your prospect, you can then gently probe into your prospect’s situation to find potential opportunities.

The right questions will boost your network marketing recruiting.

One of the reasons people struggle with network marketing is they think it is about selling someone a kit when the essence of network marketing recruiting is about finding positive minded people that want more in their life. How do you find out if people want more? You ask them the right questions.

Here are important questions not only to get your prospect talking but also boost your network marketing recruiting strategy:

- Would you be open to a side project that didn’t interfere with what you are currently doing?

- Would you be open to exploring another avenue of making income part time?

- What has recently changed in your life that has you open to a home business? - Ever wonder if there was a way to make money on Facebook?

- Ever get the feeling you were meant to do something great?

- If you had the money, would you jump at this opportunity?

- What would you really like to have in life?

- How long will you have to continue working that many hours?

- Ever wish you could travel more?

- Ever think about how you would like to spend more time with your family?

- If someone were willing to show you how to make money from home, would you be coachable?

- Did you know there are ways to create income that flow into your bank account whether you roll out of bed of over in bed?

- When you said you wanted to spend more time with your family, were you serious about that?

- Do you keep your options open when it comes to making extra money?

- Know anyone that has been affected by the economy that might be open to making some extra income?

- I am looking for a people who would like to supplement their income to work with in the home business I am doing part time, do you know any?
- Do you like helping other people and would you be interested in getting paid to do so?

- Do you see yourself doing what you are doing 20 years from now?

- Have you found what you are looking for that will provide ultimate freedom for you and your family?

- If money was not an issue, what would you do for fun?

- If money was not an issue, how would you help people?

- What is it you would like to see in a home business?

- What do you like about what you are currently doing?

- What would you like to change about your current situation?

- What challenges have you faced in the past?

- What are your goals for this year and why?

- What made you join a home business in the past?

- What did you hope to get out of your last home biz that you didn’t get?

Final Thoughts:

How long does it take to find out if a person is a serious prospect or not? What his/her level of interest? Can he/she make decision? These are all important questions that will help you determine the right prospect for your SFI business.

When seeking serious affiliates for SFI, here is what I think is the most important question to ask the prospect:

"Are you serious and determined enough to take time to learn our proven plan, to apply it exactly as directed, and to stick with it through thick and thin until you reach your financial goals?"

If they claim to be serious enough, then give them a BRIEF overview of what SFI is all about, and then follow up with this:

Here is our 3-Step Marketing Plan:

1. Set up a TripleClicks Standing Order to assure your Executive Affiliate status each month and to SET THE EXAMPLE for your Team.

2. Recruit five serious affiliates capable of and determined to commit to this plan the same way you have.

3. Teach your five to do these same three steps.

That's it. That's the plan.

Commit to Leadership.

Commit to success.

Qualify your prospects to identify enthusiastic leaders who understand personal responsibility and personal commitment. Recruit the qualified leaders.

(NOTE: Say the above to your prospects, but don't say this next part to your prospects. The comments in this next part are just thoughts I am sharing here at Ask SC.)

If we all followed the above plan, we would achieve more success, faster.

However, in my opinion, the problem most of us face is the fear of confrontation and the fear of failure, so what we end up doing is sponsoring everybody under the sun instead of qualifying them first and recruiting only the business builders.

I realize that the above plan is easy to say, but not so easy for most people to do. Still, if we look at it as being the ideal to aim for, and if we work at practicing it, I think our results will improve.

I think we should be very honest with them.
The first question and very important question is: Are you willing to invest your time and some money in you business?

The reason is because we all know that, to run a business one has to have time and also some money to get started.

Also I have seen my downline some have completed their first 1500 VP's and got to their next level of EA however when it comes to a time where they have to invest in their money to get a SO and keep their status they become inactive and eventually they are red flagged and removed.

How many times I have struggled to maintain my own EA. And having basically no precise income it is difficult. It is good for those people who are also employed to put a little income aside in their SFI Business for their future. I think these are the ones who are really flourishing at SFI, Those who have another source of income.

Sometimes I have my regrets too of knowing about SFI so late why didn't I know about it while I was employed. In those times of course you have friends and colleagues to associate with and steady flow of income.
I am retired from my work staying home full time and also a church member where members are so holy that getting them in this business, which they term as worldliness. is almost impossible for they know better.
So I do spend a lot of time advertising online and growing my team through S-Builder, PSA's to Go,...and this costs money.


So my best answer to your question is they need to have time and a little money to be committed.

And also another most important aspect of our business is having an internet access because SFI is an online business. Without an internet connection it is impossible to do the maximum required. So your second important question should be: Do you own a computer or have an access to internet maybe even through other devices?

These two question are very important to be successfully to recruit real affiliates the working ones, who really want to become a success in SFI.

And the third which is as vital do you have a 'valid' credit/debit card? This is awfully necessary to keep your SO in place.

They need to have TIME, MONEY and INTERNET ACCESS without which success at SFI is impossible and this is the naked truth.

Dear Alvin, thanks for asking this question, it's the one I'm asking myself often, when looking for new affiliates, or just starting sponsoring a new one.

As always, there is no just one true or right answer, there is always more than one path that leads to our goal, as sometimes there are more goals that could be achieved, and maybe we didn't even see the opportunity for those, and couldn't even set out mind for them.

Most important is to work everything properly by yourself, so you could lead by example and initiate that so many time mentioned duplication. If you do that, you could briefly inform your affiliates what is it that has made you successful, and to check if they are ready to do the same. But let them know that they are their own bosses, and they choose their own path and decide for themselves. Present them all the possibilities of this job, all the ways that one could generate earnings, and that this is not a fortune or lottery game. Let them know that they have to invest their time, knowledge and money in this business, or at least 2 of 3 mentioned, as in every other business that exists.

Wait for their reactions, listen and watch closely, if they are still interested, and ready to try and work, invest yourself in them, and they will pay off.

This is what I did,when I ask for the first time to my prospect.

I asked them, do you want to be a boss for yourself? Would you like to earn an income without limit?Do you want to improve your skills in the business?If that is what you want,then SFI is the right company for you.Imagine if you worked at SFI, how easy,without being disturbed by alarm that wake you up in the morning, even you can work without having to change your clothes, simply wearing pyjamas and slippers,without being disturbed traffic jam,bad weather disruption, even when there is a family who is sick we still can work, because all we can do at home.But we have to remember there is nothing free in this world, all we can get but we must to pay it.

So that we get comfort while working at SFI as well we have to pay for.The only tool that was used to buy the convenience of working at SFI is OUR COMMITMENT. commitment to never give up, a commitment to willing to learn, a commitment to willing to work hard.The same thing also there must be if we are working in the offline companies in general.The harder your desire to learn will increase your skills in the business.The harder you work the more you earn.
The most important difference is, SFI never limit your monthly income.Your income depends on your work.You are boss for yourself.

If you think they already understand and have a commitment to it, I think it would be easier for you to guide them.
