I think it's very wise to do this - some sort of non-SFI related incentives. Although, depending on what you offer (the cost to you), it may be most beneficial to offer just to PSA's.
I actually offer cash bonuses (or rewards) as incentives for becoming fast track, and then also Team Leader - as well as each fast track member they sponsor. Cash often speaks strongly.
With CSA's just remember that the commission is smaller (i.e., $2.65 on 125 T-Credits and matching VP only on their VP), whereas for PSA's the commission is $7.95 for the 125 T-Credits and matching VP for them PLUS everyone in their downline also.
So if the DVD you send is very inexpensive, it could be worth doing for CSA's also, but save your best incentives for the PSA's where you are building the team below you to grow your income.

Yes of course, if your budget permits. It is well a proven fact that offering incentives or 'freebies' is one of the easiest ways to get potential customers to buy, or at the very least take a look at your product, which will hopefully lead to a sale. SFI is no different, offering small incentives to potential affiliates to join SFI as a PSA, or to members already in your downline to increase their earnings (and therefore your earnings) is a fantastic way to build your team and your business. SFI even offers you ways to do this, via the S-Builder Co-Op Shares. You can include members of your downline to receive shares if they reach a certain target each month, ie if they reach the rank of EA, EA2, or any of the Team Leader ranks. Competition is always an impetus for people to succeed, so if there is also something on offer if they reach or surpass their goals then that is the incentive for them to become more involved.
So go for it, as long as your budget permits then I think you will be onto a winner.

This is a route that I will not recommend. If you look at it in a technical way, you would be contravening the SFI Rules.
For your PSA’s: Run a competition / campaign with the allocation of new PSA’s, and Gift certificates.
For your CSA’s: Award them with TCredits (just keep in mind that you cannot give out more than 10 TCredits to any Affiliate. To offer more, you will have to contact SFI Support.
Gift certificates are not a bad way either for PSA’s or CSA’s.
To take any other route regarding “rewards” would not be recommended.

Personally, I do not want to teach my SFI down line to offer "non-SFI related incentives" to their CSAs and PSAs. That would be like shooting myself in the foot!
What I want to do is give them a freebie that will help them boost their own down line building
AFTER they have demonstrated by their actions that they are doing something right to build their own SFI business.

Helping an affiliate with a standing order may at first seem a good idea but in the long term it is not wise because it is likely that such an arrangement will just encourage the PSA or CSA to expect more incentives. It is wise to support your affiliates with ideas that help them to become independent rather than dependent. Of course when they have shown signs of development, you can always award them with gifts but these should be SFI related of which there are many examples. Another problem with non-SFI incentives, is that when your PSAs or CSAs become Team Leaders themselves they may not have the same financial capacity of duplicating your ideas of non-SFI incentives such as setting up a standing order, to their own affiliates.
Help them with how they should advertise effectively because when they reap the rewards of their own hard work they will even find it more satisfying. Indeed it is more worthwhile to teach a man how to do something than to do it for him!

I have been in SFI for over 1 year and during this period, I have been privileged to be part of a team where my hard work has been recognized and rewarded graciously by one of my upline team member.
I started on my own without an active sponsor and I have gradually tried to build my online business. I must say it has not been without its challenges and pitfalls but I have tried.
This is my business and I have to make it work so the rewards are self-made. I support a good team and I am rewarded through better commissions-I have myself to take credit for that input. Therefore I would not understand why I would want to give out an incentive to an affiliate at the early stage of placing a standing order - the decision to place a SO must come from the affiliate and one does not need to offer an incentive or a free non-SFI gift for this.
After completion of 1 year with SFI, much to my amazement, I received a $50 gift certificate from my upline team member. I had never expected this to happen. I realize, this was because I was top of my class. And, I worked hard to remain at the top during that period. I would have no hesitation gifting my PSAs or CSAs for outstanding performance but I would definitely feel that it would not be right to encourage such a practice of freebies. It might have a negative effect in the long term.

As SFI affiliates, we are all in SFI business. Our income and rewards come from SFI. So we should not get something outside SFI to give to our PSAs or CSAs. There is no outflow of cash. Both Tripleclicks and ECAs will benefit. We will earn VPS, MRPs and bonus in terms or SVPs, AVPS and product reviews. All parties will benefit. So it is not wise to offer non- SFI related incentives to affiliates. There are hundreds and thousands of products from tripleclicks and ECAs to choose from at discount and bargain prices. Secondly, any product bought outside SFI is not counted into your sale vps. But you can set up Standing Order on tcredits, S-builder, PSAs to go, and other items within trpleclicks that are required every month e.g health food supplements..

I would be reluctant to do this, unless the incentive relates to business in some way. In your example, the DVD could be a recording taken from a marketing event.
I would avoid offering things that are totally unrelated to business, such as a movie DVD (to use your example of a DVD again).
The reason for this is that you are trying to attract and encourage serious business builders, and those people will be motivated by rewards that help them to build their business. So, the incentive you offer doesn't have to be directly related to SFI or TripleClicks, but it should be related to business in general.

The best way to keep the momentum going is to offer an incentive that promotes the action that is being rewarded. For example, if the action being rewarded is to create a standing order, you could issue a gift certificate that could be used for funding the standing order next month. If the action being rewarded is recruiting new PSAs, you can reward them with additional PSAs. This works with any action you are rewarding so the momentum stays strong.

I would suggest these be mostly one-time offers, or have a specific life-span available, this would help to spur your PSAs to attain them.
Bonuses are always helpful to gain results. First, though, check with Support to if any incentives you give can be obtained anywhere, or only through SFI/TC. Remember you can also give TCredits, but only a maximum of 10/PSA/lifetime. You can transfer some of your PSAs to your movers as long as the transferee has acquired at least 600VPs within last 90 days.
