When I was a service manager/mechanic at one of the most expensive shops in our system, I was always one of the highest earners for our shop because I found out one simple fact--if the customer was happy with my attitude and compassion for them, they didn't care about costs. In other words, As long as I made them feel as if THEY were important, they didn't care what was the cost. If I made them comfortable and showed them THEY were important they were happy and didn't care how much it cost.

Great men and women are made they are not born. The first thing to do is to invest in yourself. Read widely on the subject for readers are leaders. It is also said that all you want to be has already been written, you just need to find it. Find out who have done what you want to do and imitate them.

To become a great salesman or saleswoman you need to first sale yourself because once you can sale yourself then you will be able to sell your product with easy.

You need to know it is important to be real and show your customers how well you know your product.

You should also be a good listener and treat your customers well.

I have been involved in a fair amount of various types of sales jobs over the years and my best advice is this:

You have to be knowledgeable about the products you are trying to promote/sell. By doing so, it shows your enthusiasm and belief in those products. When you are excited, others become excited, and the results of this are sales.

To become a great sales person requires years of experiences: trials and errors, lessons learned, mistakes. Failing, trying again, getting up, and trying again.
It's not about what you know. It's about you understand. It's about what you do with what you understand. Do nothing and you're just as guilty as if you did something wrong on purpose.
