Hello Florence,

This is an interesting question and one which I guess we all have our own answers for.
What needs to be taken into account here is to differentiate between motivation and peer pressure…..whilst you want to develop and motivate your team, you do not want to appear to be demanding and trying to sell things for your own gain.

So how do you do this? I will just tell you what I do and perhaps you can follow it and amend it to your own standards.

Firstly,

Recognizing the milestones of our team mates can be very motivating.

Appreciating them with their daily log in can inspire them to continuously log in everyday.

For inactive ones, asking them how you can support them can be a start of a conversation and motivation that you care. Not necessarily telling them what to do but rather implying that you are here to support them. Their reply to you will gauge your next response if it is a tip or not.

Sometimes, giving informal

Hello Florence, your whole focus should be on helping your downline achieve success. Things to do include:

1. See your team members as your colleagues and not your sub-ordinate, therefore don't be too pushy.
2. Hash words should not proceed from your mouth to your team members at all times, especially inactive ones.
3. Give them enough independence on running their own business, your words to them should always be advisory in nature.
4. Lead by example, be doer of what you

I think if you keep things simple for your team this will go a long way into building a successful team.

Just encouraging your team members to read SFI basics, the launchpad, and the SFI three-step simple plan, will go a long way for laying out the foundation for your prospective affiliates to grow and prosper with this business.

If you need to keep motivating and encouraging your affiliates to do some reading and basic actions in order to build build a successful business than

You can support your team members without demanding too much or turning them off if you focus on the following:

1. Let them know that it is necessary for them to take it easy so that they will not be overwhelmed by information overload and that any time they are confused, they should revert to the three basic steps; sponsor at least 5 PSAs, guide them to become EAs and they should encourage their team members to do the same.

2. Always give an impression that you are here to

My best suggestion is to simply email them once or twice a week with motivating emails. Use examples of what's worked for you and suggest that it's something they may want to try.

Remind them to keep the lines of communication open and simply let them know that you're there if they need any help.

Encourage them to read your posts on the Stream too for little tips here and there and be sure to congratulate them as they reach new levels, earn a new badge, etc.

You are very wise to be cautious; after all they are the business owners. Sponsors are the mentors.

I know it can be quite frustrating at times when they do not seem to be motivated, when they don’t log in, when they don’t do what we suggest but that is our role – to train, to guide, to mentor them. It’s really up to them to ‘play ball’ so to speak.

You can continually support and motivate them by:

- Your own example eg - How many achievement badges

Your question is what all SFI Leaders must know. many affiliates have turn off their PSAs because of lack of proper motivation. As a sponsor you must know the do's and don'ts of motivations.

DON'TS

A sponsor must not begin to stress PSA to become EA.
A sponsor must not contact PSA everyday it will turn them off.
A sponsor must not ask or tell a PSA that it is compulsory to set up a Standing Order

DO'S

You can support and motivate your team by

I think you should make a plan, which, in my humble opinion, should have five phases.

Phase 1 - Learning while earning. The objective here is learning. First, you need to educate yourself, to be able to educate your affiliate.

Phase 2 - Building your Foundation: The objective here is massive sponsoring. All efforts invest in a building a team.

Phase3 - Working with the Workers: The objective here is coaching. Once you have made the foundation of your knowledge, transfer

To support and motivate your team members without demanding too much or turning them off is an acquired skill.

This is where your people skills will be tested, and using reverse psychology may work.

When you send your weekly group messages, always write a word of praise and encouragement for having them in your Team.

That they, being an important part of your Team, are valued for their efforts and putting in time to log in everyday and earning their daily VPs.
