If your new PSA needs guidance you can't provide, go up line or to the Forum for answers. SFI has a tremendous database of great answers to questions people have asked in the past, and you can access that database at any time. You should think of it this way, whenever a down line affiliate asks a question, it is an opportunity for you to shine. It's also an opening to build a strong relationship with that person. Don't be afraid to admit that you are new in the business. You don't know the answer, but you will find out and get back to them. It is by these questions that you become an expert in the business.

That's a great question and one that I struggled with myself for a while. My best suggestion is to share with your new team members what you learn as you learn it!

I would explain to my team member right from the start that you're relatively new to online marketing yourself, but that you're learning from your mentor, and as you learn the steps, you'll share them.

Also, be sure to encourage your new PSA to stay in regular contact with you; for example, connect on Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites where you're both members, and share with you anything that they may learn too, so that way you're helping each other.

Remember to learn something new every day, and teach something you learned every day. Be willing to do the research and take ownership in your responsibility to dig in and find those answers. Don't pass the buck or defer to the forum, research using the search box and find the answers and deliver them personally.

What you will find is that what you didn't know, and what you didn't know you needed to know, will now be the things you know.

Be a regular at the forum and for every post you make read 4 others. This is the 80/20 rule in action. You will spend 80% of your time in preparation for the 20% of the time you must act. Your sponsored affiliates will be surprised at the level of personal care and service you give and applaud your attention to details and making sure they get the right information in a timely manner.

I did not have any experience in this business before joining
You can tell your PSA that first I was also reluctant to join SFI but after joining this I came to know that this is the wonderful and easy business which I can do without much difficulty. Only thing you need is Patience, perseverance.
You have to read and read about all the articles about SFI to be successful. My upline team members never helped me in any way. I have reached this position because of my own efforts. But still I have to learn many things. Many things I learnt from SFI forum.
But I can help and guide you in whatever I know and learnt about SFI. We all can work together and earn money and be successful

If you're new to SFI and new to marketing, you can always talk with your sponsor, co-sponsor, and a2a affiliates to give you the answers you need. There are also some good videos and training sites you can find through Google. Do note that some of these may be out-of-date in one way or another--watch for references to IAHBE (If I recall correctly, that stands for the International Association for Home Business Entrepreneurs.), for example, which has been discontinued, and if it's listed, it's going to give you (and thus your PSA) outdated tips. You can also guide your PSA to do similar things, or to access the forums, which are also good sources for ideas and information.

There are many resources available through SFI that can help you and others regarding guidance for growth with SFI.

Before you take on the endeavour to read all the Training articles, Forum Posts, ASK SC posts and even read through materials that are available through IAHBE, it would be a good idea to establish your goals for the month.

Goals will help to focus your efforts for the month or even few months so that you do not simply become bombarded by so many new things that it becomes overwhelming. As stated under the SFI Basics tab, this work does not need be complicated but truly focused.

Be sure to inquire with your down line members what they hope to achieve with being an affiliate with SFI then brainstorm with he or she the strategies that will assist with achieving the goal/s. Then start the search for the materials that are available online though SFI to fit the description of your strategy.

It is best to keep things focused as there is so much made available through SFI and it can become overwhelming. Focus on one or 2 needs in the immediate moment then work on a plan to move on to the next part of the learning curve. In a few months, each down line member will be well versed in how to run SFI as a business and what can be done to make the business grow.

Teach them what you know and remember that we are all in this together. Find the answers together.

Sometimes you will be very surprised to find out that someone in your downline may teach you something about marketing because of the way they think and not from experience.

When you are new in SFI and Marketing the first person you need to help is yourself. You have to become a leader by reading the Basics, Compensation Plan and the Lauchpad for your first month so that you can have the training you need before you can start sponsoring affiliates. Your first month is supposed to be focused on " accumulating Versapoints" Go to the basics and read Income Stream number 1 which explains how to accumulate VP. The To do list provides you all the activities you need to get started so that you can get 1500 VP the first month. So what is the point? Simply put do not sponsor any affiliates for the first month or three because you need to take the time to train yourself first, you also have to get in the habit of communicating with your sponsor and upline team so that they too can train you, and give you the tips and guidance you need before you can sponsor anybody.

Start Page is something you should go over because it shows you how to use the red tabs and the basic overview on navigating the affiliate center. IAHBE: When I started SFI it used to cost $30.00 and was recommended as a standing order but now it is available to all affiliates for free, this is an important learning center for those who want to learn the ropes about marketing. visit www.iahbe.org and visit the new member orientation before you try to see anything else.

In order to be a leader you have to be a reader and you have to be ahead of your team even if it is only 1 inch that means you have to study and learn so that you can teach your downline. let me put it to you this way: Teach yourself first!

How I like your question cause it happened to me. My first month as a new marketing and handicap of technology, and the other side I didn't want to contact my sponsor or co-sponsor cause I didn't know them, all what I did was read launchpad, read SFI basic, read all information from the lettres that my sponsor or uplines sent me to answer or guide my new PSA. Sometimes I transfered their letters to my new PSA too. If I didn't really know the answer I told them sincerely. Sometimes I took the ticket to ask directly to SFI. That's what I like about SFI, they have a GREAT, Great support to help you step by step even for the people like me. All you need is a Willingness to learn and never quit quickly. Then if you are like me and you read this, contact your sponsor and co-sponsor now, cause no one in this world who want to help you with pleasure than them. As I told you before that I was handicap of technology, after I contacted my sponsor and uplines, they even helped me and give me a page and their web to promote my business, gave me a trick to win the games, etc. I thank them for that. Now even If I fail in this business, I can tell you that I learn something from SFI that is e-marketing and I'm not a technology's handicap.
