Not only is an additional income valuable in itself, to increase your quality of life, but a business like this puts you on the road to financial freedom, independence, control of your own life.
No worrying about the stability of your job, no having to follow rules you don't like or don't agree with, no living to somebody else's expectations.
To paraphrase Zig Ziglar "achieving your goal is not so much about what you get, but about who you become".
Think of the direct benefits of not only helping your family, but also how you set the example to your children of what directed effort can achieve.
