By aspiring to be an awesome sponsor, we learn the following things a good team leader should possess:
Skill with people.- We need to understand people and human nature- why people do things that they do. When we know why and how people will react under certain conditions, then we can become skillful manager of people in our team.
We need to realize that people are primarily interested in themselves, as in our business they are interested in how to earn money fast, quick and easy.
Make your team feel important- It’s a universal trait, a trait so strong that it makes men do the things that they do – good or bad. The desire to be important and to be recognized.
So it’s true that the more important you make people feel, the more they will respond to you. He is just as important to himself as you are to yourself.
Listen to them. it is just about the best way to make them feel important.
Applaud and compliment them- when they deserve it. Use the numerous E-Cards to express your feeling and appreciation.
Use their names and pictures as often as possible. It’s why we have our profile photo, and we get rewarded when it is uploaded.
Pay attention to everybody in your group.
Probably nothing will help you so much as a good and effective team leader as learning to be agreeable, to agree with the people in your team.
It’s been said that any fool can disagree with people and that it makes a wise man, a shrewd man, a big man to agree- particularly when the other person is wrong.
Find out what your team want. As a good team leader, show them how they can get what they want by doing what you want them to do.
Find out what they are after, what they like, because all of us are different. When you know what will move them, then know how to move them.
So, in addition to the DO’s and DON’Ts of being an Awesome Sponsor, learning them and applying them in your role as a good Team Leader for your group will mean so much not only for your own personal development but for the overall success of your SFI business and your team.
