How long your PSAs and CSAs depend on you could be a matter of individuality.
There could be some affiliates that follow your lead/example and at some point, (I suspect when they feel comfortable) will take that step out on the own without the need for your support.
If affiliates are completely new to an online business and/or internet marketing, they may depend on you throughout the whole process of growing/building their business. This is not a bad thing. Some people still believe that if it is working, don’t try to fix it.
There may be some that just need to know that you are there for them even if they really do not need your help. A perception could be that you play the part of a safety net to catch them just in case they happen to fall or feel like they are falling.
As the PSAs and CSAs move up into the Leadership positions, you may need to encourage them to stand on their own with the understanding that you are right there if they feel like they need your help.
New situations, questions and experiences happen every day so the chances of an affiliate reaching out to you for guidance is highly probably at any time, no matter if they are brand new or a more seasoned member.
From my perspective, no matter how long it may be, if a PSA or CSA asks for assistance, you as their Leader should be there with a smile and always willing to lend a helping hand.
