"What are the best ways to set up proper communications with my new PSAs?"
It is first and foremost in importance to send your new PSA a warm and welcoming ‘Welcome’ letter or E-Card, as soon as possible. I prefer the E-Cards as they seem more personal.
Don’t overload your welcome email with too much detail, but set them on the right path of ‘getting started’.
If you see (through your daily check-up of your genealogy) that they have become active – check their VP ledger to see what activities they have done.
Send them a “Tips” E-Card if you see there are areas they are missing out on free VP and important lessons they should read. Encourage them to log in every day.
Make sure you give them confirmation of your availability to help them.
Try to engage them in personal communication, through email, skype or chat. Many Affiliates will not participate, so just keep communicating with them often but don’t overdo it!.
Always acknowledge any achievements and let them know you appreciate their efforts and hard work.
Make sure your Stream Posts offer useful tips (3 a week) and your Team Mailers (1 a week) have helpful lessons or testimonies from yourself or other experienced Affiliates.
Update your Leadership page regularly and encourage them to read your posts.
If you manage to get some form of open communication, ask them what their goals are. Tailor your help to meet those needs.
Check up daily on who has a birthday. Send an E-Card. That means you care!
If you see good work and efforts try to reward them in what ever way you can afford. Re-assign Affiliates to help them build their team. Give gift cards when they have achieved, if you can afford it, but always praise them.
This is your business and you need a good strong team. BUT it is also their business and they must do the work and are responsible for the success, not you! As long as you answer their questions and help where you can you will be doing well.
