There is nothing you can't overcome.
Especially in communication area, when we live in age where communication and information are available in every possible form.
Just choose which one is the most suitable for you, writing e-mails, chatting, live talk, via phone or applications that provide live video so you can see the person... If you start to communicate with member friendly and worm, I am pretty sure that you will continue in that manner.
But you must pay attention to adequately addressing the needs of your members. And that's really simple: just be available, approachable, ready to help, professional and motivated. I see all of my members as the reflection and projection of me at the beginning, we have all been there, just remember how you felt and what you needed then.
Information can be presented in many forms, but it must be accurate and helpful, as much as possible.
Of course, you can't always be in your comfort zone, people are different, but it is not hard to adapt or to suggest the way of communicating that suits you best.
I personally think that you are and will be very good sponsor, because you asked this question. That means that you are thinking about that and intend to be the best you can.
