Send you sponsor your commitment message, complete profile etc..
Connect with your sponsor and ask him/her for help/guidance whenever its needed
When asking for help, try to find the answer/solution yourself 1st before asking.
Connect and simply chat if you don't need help
Participate in the Forum and ASK SC
If despite all your efforts and after doing all the above your sponsor doesn't want to 'notice' you, don't despair. I read of many successful people in SFI who have little to do with their sponsors. You can connect with the other leaders in your upline, develop a closer relationship with your co-sponsor, get help from A2A friends and others in SFI.
