It is well laid out and many people have attested to its awesomeness not just by what they say but as evidenced by their financial successes.
Having said all that, this is your business and you run it as you would run any other business. Your own personal touches and strategies are all OK. The only stipulations are that you stay within the Affiliates Contract conditions including its amendments.
If your strategies include being involved in other businesses similar to SFI, thats your call, but I would strongly advice against doing do. I believe doing so will cause divided loyalty and you will not be able to devote as much time as your are now to SFI. It can also cause conflict of interest.
I would stay with the SFI system using all their tools and experience to grow my business.
