1. I would say that there is nothing like helping too much with your affiliates. As a matter of fact your role as a team leader to progress in your business you should be persistent and patient in helping all your down line PSAs and CSAs. However you have to draw a thin line between
a) Teaching the team member and doing the task for them.
b) Graciously paying their way- like paying for their SO, because if they don't have a stake in the reward it will not hold the same value and soon it will be taken for granted. Moreover, you cannot afford to destabilize your running expenses for your own by subsidizing another member's standing order etc...But this is not to say you can't reward or gift members. Pl go ahead with these to recognize the worthy affiliates! I am in full agreement for sending a hard working & dedicated affiliate a Gift Certificate, T-credits etc. I also think having performance based contest among your team can lead to a healthy competition among your deserving team members. You have to make sure that they feel that they have earned the reward when they win one.
c) Ensuring that the affiliates in your team are serious about the business and have the desire to learn daily and enjoy working closely with you and being in constant contact.
2. As a team leader you need to teach your affiliates the necessary skills to help them” take off on their own wings". SFI provides free comprehensive training that gives them the knowledge to learn what they need to know. Your job is to help them put it all together so that they can run their own business. At the same time by “spoon feeding “them you will not give them sufficient space to grow independently in their voluntarily chosen business. All said & done, you should definitely help, but know when to give your affiliates the room to grow and learn the skills that will help them earn an income independently to last a lifetime!
3. I have experienced that many who join SFI are skeptical and have no knowledge of running a business. It is surely left to us- their sponsors- to lend whatever support they need to achieve their goals! It’s an added bonus, if this strategy results in a new down line member becoming self-sufficient and ultimately not dependent on us in the long run.
4. We have to show them the art of fishing than giving them a ready made plate of fish. We should guide & encourage our affiliates to become independent once they learn the tricks of the trade. We should never encourage affiliates to depend on us.
5.For example ,if one of your affiliates finds it difficult to place the SFI ads and request you to put the same by sharing his link since he does not understand the process, you should not post the ads yourself but help him to understand the process and let him post his advertisements himself.
6. As a sponsor, our duty is to help, guide & support our team members to start off in the right path; whenever they stray away, we need to correct & bring them back to the original track.
7. Finally, you must know the extent you should go in giving your affiliates a helping hand. If you know this, you will have plenty of time to build & spread your SFI business than merely having a few active affiliates and limiting yourself from spreading your tentacles!
