This is a great question, and one I have struggled with often as I build my SFI business. As someone who is still fairly new to SFI, I understand the steep learning curve my new PSAs are dealing with as they learn to navigate the website, learn how the business works, and begin generating income and building a team.
In my experience, I relied heavily on the training that the Getting Started To-Do list offered me, and I asked questions of my sponsor whenever I was confused. When my first team members came on board, I advised them to do the same thing- go through that Getting Started list, and come to me with any questions.
As I learned more- for instance, when I discovered the LaunchPad Lessons, I immediately passed that on to my team members. Now I recommend all my new team members go immediately to the To-Do list, and then to the LaunchPad Lessons, because it gives them all the knowledge they need to get started in a clear, concise manner that I could never duplicate trying to explain to them on my own!
I've also found that telling my new PSAs honestly about how I got started was helpful. I am also clear to tell them that I don't know it all, but that I can find out, or here is how I dealt with this myself. I try to speak with all my new PSAs immediately via chat, to assure them that I am here and willing to help. That initial chat has been very helpful, also, in overcoming some of their fears and help them connect with SFI- one of my PSAs thought he was talking to a computer, until I assured him I was actually a real person- the conversation went much better after that!
And of course, the biggest thing for a new sponsor to help THEIR new PSAs is to have a positive, can-do attitude! You did this, and they can, too!
