The best method or variety of methods to use will depend largely on your locality and your circumstances.
The general method is to print out the flyers and post them on business bulletin boards and other places in your community. You will need to obtain the permission of the operators/owners of these business and community boards.
If you have a generous advertising budget you can have a large number of flyers printed and then
- have them sent out as inserts on home delivery newspapers etc.,
- put in post office mail boxes,
- leave flyers at offices and waiting areas such as clinics etc..
- leave flyers where young people and those looking for work gather
- if possible go for a walk and put them in street mail boxes outside people’s homes yourself
- greet people you meet and hand them a flyer
- you can go to markets, sports grounds – anywhere people gather and hand out the flyers yourself.
You can use the same method to attract PSA and PRM but with ECA in addition, you can also visit the local businesses and hand the flyers over to the person in charge.
Remember, always ask permission to post the flyers on boards or to leave flyers in waiting rooms etc. Do not forget to revisit these places, keep in contact with the owners, if a fee is required, pay it and replenish flyers as necessary.
