For me being successful with SFI is having a large active team of affiliates and earning a comfortable income. If I become a millionaire in the process, that would be great. We all have different goals and priorities in life.
You will have noticed that a lot of people in SFI do have websites and/or blog. They are used primarily for promoting SFI/TripleClicks. I suspect that most of the blogs are used for this purpose. The websites are also used for promotional purposes. Some also use their websites as a tool for sponsoring their teams.
Joining SFI will not make you money unless you promote both SFI and TripleClicks. You want people to purchase TripleClicks products and services. You also want recruits who will help promote TripleClicks by becoming affiliates. You therefore need to advertise and promote SFI/TripleClicks.
How much success you want - in getting people to join/purchase products and/or sponsoring your affiliates - will determine for you if you need a website or blog of your own "to be successful with SFI." Its your call.
