I think that for most people, the first few days in SFI, if they are active, are a bit overwhelming with so much information being sent that it's ok to send a preformatted message to them, as long as you use ~FIRSTNAME~ to personalise it if you use the genealogy mailer.
What is more important is a follow up message in the next couple of days, and that is better if it is individual/personalised. You can check on the Movers tab to see who has done something and just send to those new affiliates if you don't have time to message all of them individually.
Sadly there are many sponsors in SFI who don't look after their downline, so any communication from you is better than many will get, just make it sound as personal as you can.
