I myself, have taken a long time to speak to others I don't know so, I would say-
Be patient and get the feel of the water:
1) Smile, Be Confident, Be genuine try to establish a common ground of interest until the conversation eases. ie- family, children, schooling, traveling, work, hobbies
Share your interests:
2) talk about ways you enjoy helping others and what success means to you in days that the economy is unforgiving. Where you would like to see yourself and/or your family.
Share your experience:
3) ask if they would ever consider working from home, shopping online, even building a family business
4) When they believe you are genuine, they will ask you what you think and you can share SFI basics with them, maybe ask for an e-mail to contact them later.
Share your Success:
5) When you e-mail them, add your gateways to your e-mail at the bottom and surely, they will have had a good conversation and look into what you have sent them.
Hopefully, this has opened up some idea of how you could go about talking to others.
