The topic of other people preying upon your downline and how to prevent it has several facets.
1) The cross-solicitor uses various come-ons to get others to join outside affiliate businesses. These businesses may look innocent enough, but they will take time, money, and effort away from the SFI business of your downline member, and from your business as his money is siphoned off away from his TC purchases and shares of your co-op, while putting money in the predator's pocket.
These often are SFI affiliates who get private email addresses through being either in a person's up or down line, or are one of their CSAs. Some of them sign up numerous times just to gain more email addresses. They can also be outside of SFI but soliciting through the internet, or from personal contact. Ad sites are often guilty when they are set up as an affiliate program to solicit new advertisers.
2) The cross-liner, knowingly or unknowingly, endangers or undermines the education that you have given your downline through "helping". He usually gains nothing but a good feeling, but he can offer to do work for a price. These often use the private communications of SFI such as a2a, eCards, contact seller, etc.
Prevention of the "attack" is also two-fold.
1) Educate your new affiliates early about the dangers of opening themselves to these predators. Explain the dangers, give examples. Many will ignore you, but don't stop educating.
2) Turn the predators in. When you get one of those emails supposedly from a PSA or CSA or downline, Write to him and ask to be taken off that list. Explain the dangers of his continuing to solicit and suggest that if he didn't send the email or even belong to the group that he change his password. If you get another message from him about the offending opportunity, then turn him in to SFI. If he is sending to you, he may be sending to your downline.
I also scour my groups ECAs and TConnect Pages for hints that they are not honest and send them to the office.
