They are not active probably because of a variety of reasons but I suspect that the main reason why they have not listed any products as yet is because they have not yet fully appreciated the potential and benefits of listing with TripleClicks.
I would suggest that you try and get all the local affiliates to connect with these ECAs indicating that we are ready to support and promote them and their products. The ECAs can see the connections for themselves.
They are already in the system so it should be easier to do more promotional work with them. You may not have referred the ECAs in the first place but your local business community will get to know you through your work. You will develop a favourable reputation among them and they will in time make referrals to you for listing their products and services on TripleClicks.
I would suggest that you make contact with the ECAs and make an appointment with the decision makers and then go and visit them. The meeting focus must be on how TripleClicks can help promote the ECAs business. Be frank about the fact that this will be a win win situation where both parties will benefit from the arrangement.
At the meeting, if possible, log onto TripleClicks and show then around the store: the large range of products and services available; the types; countries where they come from; prices etc.
Explain to them that the affiliates actively promote ECAs products especially the products which are most appealing to them. The affiliates themselves are also TripleClicks customers. As well as TC members, their products are also exposed to other internet users and surfers. There are over 2 million TC members so the market among members is by itself huge but it is also an international market.
Explain to them that from their point of view, all they have to do is list their products on TripleClicks at no cost to them. TripleClicks will retain a nominal amount when there is a sale but otherwise if there is no sale, they do not have to pay anything to promote their products.
They can also promote their products and services elsewhere if they wish. This is not an exclusive arrangement.
Be enthusiastic but let the facts speak for themselves. I am certain that they would become active once they fully appreciate the value of what is being offered to them.
Do not abandon them once they start listing products. Keep and eye on them and make contacts with them regularly. They will tell other business people about your services.
