A team leader is a person who knows a solution to any given situation. If somehow he/she doesn't the answer to the problem, then certainly knows how to find it and where to look.
He/she is also a person to whom his/her colleagues can look up to and whom they wish to follow. People will follow those who have results talking how successful they are. And vice versa, if someone doesn't have results of any kind, they won't be able to teach anyone how to achieve them.
