While it does no harm when an affiliate rushes around trying to refer every retailer, craftsman, and service provider who will listen, it pays to make plans, set goals in order to maximize the total results of the referrals that actually come in.
I look for businesses;
1) that have a product line that includes items that people want to buy and prices set so
they will buy, from toilet paper to speed boats.
2) that have a product line that includes items that our affiliates will want to advertise., that have a large enough price tag that will provide nice commissions and royalties.
3) that have already proven that they are willing to spend money on advertising.
4) that are serving people in a slower economic economy, whose neighboring businesses may have already closed.
5) that are owned by the same people who operate them, and who are proud of being there for a zillion years.
6) I look for craftsmen and women who do great work, but need a larger marketing area.
In other words, I am looking for businesses that are owned by motivated owners who have pride in their stores, can make good choices, are motivated to try something else. And are willing to do what it takes to succeed.
The idea here is to produce many orders through TripleClicks advantaging the affiliates who refer the products to the public and earn a commission on their sales; and to the Affiliate who referred the owner to become an ECA, and therefore earn a royalty on all sales by that ECA.
That's the SFI/TC side of the money cart. The Business owner side is larger. He gets free web site, advertising, and almost free office help, and the profits from his sales. He also may have to hire more employees in order to package and ship the products which puts more money into the local economy. Not to mention the possible jump in volume of products, including hand made crafts, passing through his store. Having to hire more employees is not an expense, it is the result of increased business.
