Well...this is a catchy question. The answer could be GOOD or NOT GOOD. This question depends on what the family's culture or gearing towards different kinds of business. For me, (and it is what I am doing) I will feel the "pulse" of a family member or friends around me. In my own experience, I just float the idea by informing them that I am into this online business called SFI. Take note that I am only floating the idea with them when they ask me what I am up to at the moment. When I tell them about SFI and they followed up their question that sounds or shows they have (even a little) interest with what I have just said, I will tell them some basic details about SFI and some basic information on how to earn with it. Usually, they will ask me if how much have I earned so far with SFI and I would honestly tell them that I have just joined and what I have earned so far is very very minimal that I can not even take it out yet...but I know and I believe that I will be earning soon. Then I will tell them my goals with SFI and how the team help each other to achieve success.
With that technique, I have signed up some friends and a few family members and relatives with me. Most of them have stopped after sometime but I just let them be. I do not follow them up like my other members, but I make it a point to mention to them once in a while my progress with SFI and how my Sponsors supports me. Some got back while others are maybe waiting for me to tell them that I have earned something already.
For sure, when they see you progress financially...you don't need to ask them to join you...instead they will be the one to ask (or even beg) you to let them join your team.
For now, I am just doing what I need to do and I know the rest will follow.
