Recruiting family members is indeed a very good idea!

In fact, before you recruit some unknown people through some other sources (free ads, paid ads, etc), always approach people from your circle of influence, i.e. family members, friends, colleagues, neighbors, etc.

These are the people who will trust you the most. You can guide them easily through one-to-one presentations. There will not be any language barrier. You can easily make yourself available to them when they need your help.

Also if you are an ECA and listed your products online, you may approach your family members and direct them to buy their regular supply from your store. This way, you can increase your sales points.

But one thing you need to keep it in mind that don't try to be after them to join or force them to join only because you have good influence. Otherwise, you will spoil your personal relationship with them.

I truly like this question. The reason why, is that ever since I have read the question on my profile when I was filling it out at the time, It asked if we will be having family members? will your target be friends? colleagues? friends of friends? your co-workers or office mates? or even your neighbor?

Well, I've been doing that ever since. Of course, I started inviting family first ones I know what I needed to do for SFI. Then I started to create meetings with friends and friends of friends invites from all over so that they too can listen in to my presentation and join, if my presentation is good enough then I get a YES! answer. Then I recently targeted my neighborhood. Which is the best! Why? Because my neighbors are not hard to talk to. Since I already know them and we all see each other in the same building everyday, I set up a meeting every week and also for them to have a referral to our weekly meeting. It has been working out for the past 2 weeks. I hope that it will continue for a very long time. We all use the same Internet Connection but everyone has it's own electronic device to check on their business with SFI. I don't think that is a problem at all. Sometimes we all go through it at the same time together so that we are all learning at the same time and doing our To-Do-List at the same time. That also gives more chances for more communications with everyone and they also feel much better when you do things with them.

So, try to do some of the things that I've been doing. You never know, it might work for you to attract more PSA's or CSA's on your downline. Plus should you decide that you want to be on top of your team, it would be easy for you since you all have a schedule to meet up, see each other or talk to each other once a week.

Hope this guides you there just a little bit. I know that it takes work but if you start recruiting from family and friends first, its the best move you have made; Then it will just follow through after that because of what you teach them to do with their own business. Also, always remind them that they need to check into their business everyday and do their To-Do-List. It's a must!

I would like to simply state that anyone, including family members, can be invited to join SFI. SFI is a no judgement club so does not focus on your role with people that you invite to participate in this wonderful opportunity. SFI focuses on giving a way for people to live their financial dreams to reality.

I have been involved with SFI for 10 months and I can honestly say that there has never been a "should" in this affiliate program. This is the beauty of SFI, everyone is part of this organization by voluntary choice. This is where there is power in this organization, everyone who accepts the invitation to join SFI as an affiliate has their own reasons - the choice to join is solely theirs to make.

I would most definitely encourage you to share what you know about SFI with family members as you may be providing a door of opportunity that he/she has been looking for but did not know how to do it. SFI is a business venture so if the decision is made to not join, that is to be respected as well.

It is absolutely a great idea to share with and invite family members to become members of SFI either as an affiliate, an ECA, or even a TripleClicks Store member. SFI has something for everyone.

Family members come in all shapes, sizes and mental attitudes.
Although shape and size do not matter with SFI mental attitude does.

If your family members have respect for your business skills they will follow you. If they do not have respect for your business skills they may not follow you.

One thing you must inform them of is the fact that SFI will not make them wealthy overnight. They will be required to do what the rest of the successful SFI affiliates do. Sign in each day and invest time in building their business.

When family members join your team and sponsor new affiliates they may sometimes feel that they are only a benefit to you, especially if you are already earning an income and they are not. They may drop out of SFI but you will continue to benefit from their team members. This can lead to difficulties between family members.

To avoid family issues here is what you need to do before your family members join you in SFI:
1. Be earning an income from your SFI business, even if it just a small amount. You need to have evidence that it is working for you.

2. Explain to them very clearly that they will be required to work. A demonstration of what you do is helpful.

3. Ensure they understand that they will not be wealthy overnight and that they are building a business for the future.

4. They must understand VERY clearly that they are in your team, that you will be earning a commission from what they, and their team members do and achieve.

5. They must understand very clearly that if they opt-out of their SFI business or stop taking the required actions you will still be earning from the affiliates that they have introduced.

6. Ask them a lot of questions about their thoughts on the SFI business before they sign up. If you have provided a demonstration this is a good time to ask these questions.

7. Be prepared to support them! They are going to expect a lot from you, more than a person that is not related or does not know you. Because you have contact with family members more often than in other cases, they will want to talk to you about it more often. You should schedule talks about SFI with family members to ensure it does not interfere with your family time. Business time and family time should not overlap to the stage that it becomes dominant and takes all of the pleasure from your relationship.

In Summary
If you have family members who respect and trust you, demonstrate SFI and then ask them what they think. Be very honest about this business. Dishonesty leads to claims of 'SCAM' and 'FRAUD' and these words will not just affect you, but all those involved with SFI. If your family member has doubts make sure you address those doubts BEFORE they sign up. Expect to provide a lot of support for your family member, especially at the very beginning.

Interesting question.

When someone sees a Gold mine, the first set of people he tells are his close associates which include family, friends, and loved ones.
However, to go about this one should first ensure that he has good relationship with the family members in terms of communication, integrity, competence, and accountability in issues relating to business and welfare.
If you do not communicate well with your family, it would be difficult to initiate a conversation about SFI to them.
If you lack integrity in your character your competence to preach the SFI opportunities will be in question. Also if you have been faulty in terms of financial dealings in the past you family members won’t take you very seriously.
When these aforementioned things are taking care of, the next thing would be:
1. Ensure you have understood how SFI works to a reasonable degree, and that you have mastered the SFI basics which are VP accumulation, Referring people to purchase from TripleClicks, Duplication, etc.
2. Make sure the family members you are enrolling are capable of buying something from TripleClicks, as well as capable of bringing their friends/associates that will follow suit. This is what will increase your profit.
3. Be an awesome and selfless sponsor to them in every aspect of SFI because they will be looking up to you for faster progress.
4. Lastly always make it simple and fun for them when answering their questions. Make them see how the Wow Auctions go and the different free stuffs from Wave 3 and daily T-Time Game for free T Credits.
Therefore, recruiting family members into SFI in my opinion, is a good idea.

There is no restriction to the class of people you recruit into SFI. All that matters is whether they will be willing to work for a common good or not.
In my opinion, recruiting our family members is the most effective way of sponsorship in that you are going to establish a close and cordial relationship and this plays an important role in building up a strong team.
Your family members are bound to trust you, work with you as a team and look up to you for guidance unlike people outside the family circle who might have some doubts about you.
You will as well have a close contact with your family members and keep track of their progress in the business and be ready to assist them when necessary cause if they succeed, you succeed as well.
I think it is a good idea to recruit our family members into SFI.

I suppose it all deepens on your family members. It can be great, at least that's the situation in my case anyway.
I read all the answers for this particular question and they are all good but there was one thing I didn't quite agreed upon. Many of them said that you should wait until you were an established member, and I say scratch that. Why wait?
We all have to learn the same things, why don't do that together?
Like I already said, I have a family member in my team, my sister joined only two weeks after me, and we work great together. Don't get me wrong it can be difficult, when you have to deliver some bad news, etc. But on the other hand nobody knows her better then I do, and I think that's very important for a team leader to know his PSA's and how to speak to them in any occasion.
If you're already tight then you could get through anything, good and bad.
So, I would like to finish with this questions. Do you think you should recruit your family members? What's your gut telling you?
IF the answer is yes, that you should,then go for it, this whole experience could be so much more with them involved, but if you have doubts, then don't do it.

SFI is backed by the Better Business Bureau...not all stores are members of the BBB, did you know this? Yet, SFI is a member!

Online shopping is less crowded than supermarkets are. You may offer gift certificates as gifts to friends and family. So, SFI would even make a great gift.

Also, when you offer SFI to a family, you are creating a strong financial future for them, and a business partnership. It is great to want to share all your success with your family members. They will always admire you when they see what you do for a living. It will also strengthen your family relationship as you will have a chance to share in helping them achieve their goals as their team member, business partner, mentor, and family member. You both can exchange ideas.

SFI is not a secret. I am so glad you decided to share SFI with your family. I hope you do not think too hard on this "GOOD IDEA" I would not like it if they learn about SFI from someone else...because, while you are thinking about it, several others are talking about SFI, and I only hope you talk to them about SFI, first...

Well, it really depends on a few things.

First of all, you need to believe in SFI and understand it well enough to convey its potential. You need to be enthusiastic when you talk about it. It also helps if you have had a measure of success. It's a lot harder to convince someone your first or second month than it is when you've been here for a year and you have a steady commission check coming every month.

Second, it depends on the family member you are talking to. Some people have an entrepreneurial mindset, and some don't. Some people believe in the power of the internet (to make money), and some don't. Some people think "internet marketing" is a bad word. Some people are ambitious, and others are happy to stay in the financial position they are in.

All these are factors in who you decide to "recruit." If you have family members who have an entrepreneurial mind, who can believe in the power of the internet for potential income, and they are ambitious and hard-working, then they would be prime candidates for joining your SFI team. However, if they do not have the mindset that would help them succeed, you are wasting your breath.

If you try to get family (or friends) to join SFI, it is important that they understand SFI will not bring overnight success. It is a lot of work to build a successful business. Ensure them that you will be there for any questions or hurdles they encounter, and that their success ultimately depends on how much they put into it. Let them see how your effort has paid off, and that - even though things may be slow at first - they will pick up and the long-term payoff will be well worth their efforts.

Family members can be the most skeptical persons when it comes to business. However, there are always exceptions to the rules. If SFI is really working for you then it is a good idea to recruit family members. When you have the proof of what SFI is doing for you then there is no doubt that you will be able to convince the members of your family to become a part of your business.

Sometimes it may also be a good idea to recruit family members even if you don't have much proof of earnings. You can show off SFI by the number of badges you have earned and if you have won any item/s at pricebender's auction. Some members of the family are also very proactive and will be more successful in the business than we are. We know the members of our family better than anyone else and we know who will do well in this business and who will not. Therefore, it is a good idea to recruit some members of our families, but not a good idea to recruit those members of our families that do not have a knack for this type of business.
