there are many methods to attract College students.
Some things that will make the hunt easier:
- living near the college or at least the hangouts frequented by students
- being in college yourself or having a college acquaintant (student, professors, staff, ...)
- being part of college forums and/or activity groups; or open one yourself if possible
- ....

Some Methods:
direct advertisings, most can also be applied online
- offering business and leadership lectures/courses, mentorships or other related trainings
- give an introduction lecture about SFI
- flyer advertising: posting on blackwall of the college and the frequented places
- open a "online business" forum and bring real examples from SFI and your other experiences
- sell selfwritten, lowprized (e)books for SFI business tricks on the colleges fleamarkets (with your SFI businesscards on the table)

indirect:
- get into contact with the students, talk to them, join their parties/forums/clubs if possible
- sponsor clubs, forums, ...
- have a local store/bar/... focused on students and tell them that you can fully enjoy having that store because you earn your main income with SFI (only if it's the truth, please)
- have an SFI ad on your car with some contactinfo (well readable) while driving by the college and frequented places daily
- ...
A few good arguments to attract students:
- Free to join, to learn
- Free mentoring, free worldwide communication tools to talk with affiliates from any niche
- Possibility to earn real money from day 1
- Good promotion prospects
- Massive business knowledge and experience
- ...

Last but not least, some tricks:
- relate to the hobbies of the students
- never hesitate, be confident
- but also be open, friendly, have humour/patience, be tolerant
- don't be a know-it-all
- be prepared to get pulled into their drinking games
- be prepared to get shreddered with the worst of all contra arguments in discussions without alcohole, so that you can fight back without hurting their opinion

I'd say, it depends on how you like to advertise, which features you want to advertise and what you plan to do after getting your leads.

1. TARGET: SFI OPT-INS aka PSA's (online business opportunity)
If you want to reach a huge market of interest for SFI affiliates, watching the growth tab will help you. On the top you can see the countries of the day with most signups, the bottom list helps to analyse further, too. Over the last month, the most signups came from US, India, African and middle eastern countries.
A really good portion came from regions with lower living standards. Although many of them mainly speak their maother language, it isn't that much of a barrier anymore with all those free translators around. Minus points rather lie in the activity rates, since most want or need quick money and have nearly no investment capital.

If you want to get higher rates of active affiliates, it is best to focus on your own region, where you could have physical meetings and seminars. If you'd like to enhance your advertisement area, concentrate on regions where you can speak the language fluently and know about customs there. With this you can make sure to have regular and intense training sessions with your downline - physical, online and per telephones. Since you know of the customs and laws there, you will be able to specify your sponsoring even more.

2. TARGET: PRM's (regular TC customers)
Look up, which countries have the most active ECA's with interesting product ranges and advertise those. US will always be a good prospect here - the product and ECA range is huge. Prospects will easily find offers with free of at least low shipping fees and are able to find what they need for a good price.
Advertising in countries with low active ECA rates (small product ranges) is mostly wasted effort. If PRMs want to buy anything from TC they mostly have to get it from other countries, mostly the shipping fees are too high, so they'd rather taker another e-commerce platform to get their stuff -> lost regular. Unless you plan to get masses of active ECA's for those countries (if so, start to advertise with a suitable slogan even before you get those ECAs), there's barely something to buy for them (Pricebender auctions as exception).

3. TARGET: ECA's (E-commerce associates)
Best choices: countries with low TC ECA rates, regional (your own country and maybe neighbors)
Entrepreneurs need a lot of personal calls and meetings to bite. SFI might give you the arguments, but the work needs your physical presence, thus you need to be able to get there without having to put in massive money just for traveling or calling fees. Also if there are lots of prospective customers for your country, but nearly no competition, it is a double win for you and your prospective ECAs.

4. TARGET: OTHER WORLDWIDE FEATURES LIKE PRICEBENDERS AND MUSIC COMPETITION
These are features, that I found out to be suitable for worldwide advertisement with nearly no exception or favorites.

Question back: how much money do you want to invest and what would you target?

The knowledge gained from IAHBE can't be found again in SOs. So the only learning replacement would be to buy each month new business books.

SO-specific:
TCredits are the least expensive way to your single product 1500VP SO. All others cost much more or need to be combined through many products.
Here are some samples of the possible range:
- S-Coop-Builder (pure S-coop: 5 shares = 1400 VP)
- stock up your handouts and offline ads: X-cards, brochures, postcards, envelopes, letterheads,... <<< if you have enough storage and monthly places to hand them out or specialize in offline marketing - you'll need quite a lot for 1500VP
- giftcards
- PSAs to Go (quite money intense and luckbased)
- Radio SFI (~13$ monthly = 315 VP, insidertip!)
- Traffic and SEO-offers

My personal favorites from those are
+ S-Builder shares, because it really already got me PSAs and PRMs with each share and those shares are cheaper than PSAs To Go (in my current SO with 125 tcredit-pack)
+ Radio SFI: advertises your gateways for more leads (i like the idea)
+ giftcards: double VP to be gained by 1. buying, 2. distributing

As far as I know, there are mainly two different approaches to promote a business like SFI and TripleClicks with your own website, blog or both:

Indirect:
Create a blog according to your own interests and knowledge base about any niche that comes to your mind. Find parallels on the topics to SFI or TripleClicks and add links or suggestions.
Examples: a gaming review site can write articles about the games here; post Tripleclicks offers to product reviews or product tests
Pro: individual content, broader range of interest points
Con: SFI / Tripleclicks advertisement is not your maintarget - there might be lots of readers that like your blog but can't identify with SFI

Direct:
A blog that focuses on SFI and TripleClicks:
Share your own SFI steps with others; inform about possibilities, games, winners, TC offers, auctions, ...
Pro: Direct advertisement of SFI/TC - people that search exactly for that information will come to you and with higher probability sign up.
Con: Small range of interest points, people need to know that they are searching for blogs like yours.

If you don't have any experience with blogs or your own website, it is best to read other blogs to see how others are doing both in negative and positive aspects. Take notes and apply your thoughts.

In general, a blog only will be read if the topics of each post are not only interesting and innovative but also with continous updates. You need to be able to capture your readers and make them read on with growing interest in your posts and everything connected to it.
A nice idea to capture the interests of readers are post rows: If you have massive information on a certain topic, a reader might just sleep in while reading through only one post. Make an outline of what you want to share and structure it into several posts, each shall lead the reader into the next one a bit like writing story chapters but each shall also be a complete part of information in itself.

There's lot of ideas to be found on the web how to create an attractive blog, so make sure you browse around a bit before taking your blog live.
Also make sure to advertise your blog on social networks like twitter, FB or linkedin. Post each update there to let the world see you are there and active.

For my part, I'm not that much into blog reading - I like structured websites more since it is easier to find information, though for sharing the latest news I'd prefer blogs and social networking.

In general, the best way to get VersaPoints in masses is to build up a strong team and earn with matching points. There's absolutely no limit to earning VP here.
The first step would be to become at least Bronze Teamleader to enable earning by matching points.

Now, how to become a BTL?
For those that still have masses of their initial one-time VPs left it is quite easy to reach BTL, but not really helpful. To acquire the status and at least hold it permanently, the basis for your business lays in sponsoring EAs and Teamleaders.

To collect the 3000VP for BTL, pay attention that you have to create at the very least 1500VP from sales and the very least of 1000VP of action points. Just being a good sponsor and doing your daily tasks will already reward you with 1000 action VP, but it is always good to have some more space and back up plans.

- The support of your PSAs will be awarded according to the status, starting with 100 VP at each EA2. With just 5 interested EA2s (= 500VP), this starting bonus will help you get the missing points to reach a solid BTL.

- The ToDo-list/VP-ledger will help you to achieve many free points by action as well as let you review different topics to grow in advertising and sponsoring. You can collect at least 500 VP by free and daily actions and up it with winning in free games and nearly free bids at Pricebenders for MRPs

- Standing order: try to afford one because you need at least 1500 sales VP for Teamleadership. To ease your path, a Standing Order for 2000 VP would be the best, but don't worry if you do not have that much money - figure out a small SO even if it falls under the 1500VP. But do make sure to reach the TL mark by getting lots of returning customers to TripleClicks = creating sales.
(As to why still investing a little bit: it is to encourage your downline to do the same - each sponsor also earns by commissions of his PSAs)

- Make use of your Free Tcredits: Combining Wave3 and Double MRP auctions is a nice way to build up a little backup plan. With Wave program you get some free Tcredits and MRPs, use them in DP-auction to get 100 free MRPs each month. Collect those as long as you can and use them only in absolute emergencies. You also gain 5 VP from your action bids in that month.
Do the same with all your won and status reward TCredits.

- Play T-Time, Daily Grand and the free Knockout Trivia games as often as possible to win more TCredits and VPs.

- ECAs do not only push your wallet but also give a VP boost: your are rewarded with 100VP for each approved and activated ECA

Of course, advertising is the key to success - you can get both PSAs and sales.
So never stop improving your marketing skills and practices.

No, a website/blog is not essential for your success at SFI, just one more great opportunity.

It is a great chance for you, if you are really good in writing interesting texts and making readers to revisit your site again and again. It is also a great chance to further communications with your team, to learn how to write and attract people on the net, to share your complete thoughts and point of view not just a few sentences like through most social media.

BUT it is not essential!
There are so many forms of advertising and teaching possible, you can choose which one suits you best and focus on that one while slowly improving other methods one by one.

All forms of advertising have pros and cons, most cons are a huge influence on the success of the methods.
For a website/blog it is the contra of being found and being interesting an captivating at the same time. For this, it needs time intensive SEO-work and creative textwriting while your niche competition will grow massively, too. So even if your own site can offer you much greater chances than something like adsite marketing (putting up ads on (free) adsites), you will only be able to see the results if those prerequisites are met.

Facit:
If you are not already experienced in websites, but want to hold the chance open, focus on other methods first, while steadily improving your site/writing in small steps.
If you neither have experience, time nor ideas for a site right now, again, focus on other methods but keep the possibility of someday having your own site in your mind. If you keep with SFI you will certainly grow and be able to simultanously use and combine more and more methods. By throwing it away, you'd only limit yourself later.

INTRODUCTION
A sincere greeting and welcome, a small introduction of yourself followed by introduction of the newcomer.
Questions that will be especially interesting for you at this point, are
- how much time he can spent,
- does he already have a business (when yes which),
- does he see SFI as hobby, part time or main income opportunity or want it to be
Make sure to get to know him first (learn about him, his character, goals and principles in life) before you start talking about business, to know how you can mentor him without annoying the newcomer.
One step of this is to show what he already learned here - if completely new, the next two points are essential, if already accustomed a short review might also be helpful to see what he already learned (best set the topics and ask what he knows about SFI).

WHAT IS sfi AND THE GENERAL ROLE OF AFFILIATES HERE?
Next would be to guide the talk to your business here in SFI, shortly (!!!) explain what SFI is and your role as entrepreneur that markets SFI/TC and sponsors a new team of marketeer = the role of affiliates here in SFI. This should take less than 5 minutes with clear facts to avoid boring your PSA.
Remind him, that if he has any questions, he may ask them whenever he likes.

HOW TO EARN WITH SFI
Proceed with telling him to look at the SFI basics together and teach him about the general earning possibilities within SFI. Make sure to use your own words and not just rereading what's in front of him - I encountered many first questions here that way (just reading off the side takes of the interest and let's you look unprofessional).

ASK FOR HIS FAVORITE PATH
Now that your PSA has at least a basic outlook on what he can do here, ask him what path he would prefer. If he is undecided explain him your path and teach him the steps. If he has a favorite tell him more about it and how to get it started.
The methods and paths differ with tasks, advantages and disadvantages, so be prepared for any answer you get and guide your newcomer on those paths by explaining him tasks and methods to advance.

TIME LEFT?
If you and your PSA have some more time on your hands, guide him a little bit through the SFI page and show him how to get started in detail. You can also discuss the content of each step/lesson he just learned to make sure he understood it.

GENERAL ADVICE
Whatever you do in your first talk, never beat around the bush!
Have precise answers and points, keep the information short, easy to follow, but still complete - and pay attention to how your PSA responds. This may not be easy, but training it will pay out.

Business cards are the essentials in offline marketing whatever business one has. They show what your business is and give an impression on its attributes. Sadly, most end up getting seen only once and then get thrown away or are forgotten.

As first step in creating cards, those two problems must be tackled: how shall the card represent the business and how to make it eyecatching?

Since SFI offers so much, you need to decide on the attributes like simple, serious or a motto like "business that makes you smile". Build your card around these attributes - whether you want to write the motto down or simply express it by visuals, it is your choice.

Eyecatching does not mean your card should be overloaded or unreadable - your contact info must always be clearly readable! It should stay in mind and press its new owner to have several looks at it again or even show it to others. This can be achieved by simple having your info printed on coloured transparent card (nice to hold; attributes: simple, serious) with a SFI logo on it or, if you are creative, you can even go over the boundaries of a simple papercard (plastic cards, folded cards, popup businesscards, special cuts/decor, loupcards, clothes pin, dogtags,...).
Just keep in mind that a business card should always be easy to grap, robust to bo through many hands and have a handy size.

Then add your contact info:
- Name,
- SFI rang (Executive A., Bronce Teamleader) and SFI ID,
- either your SFI-link or the nicer easier-to-type link of your SFI promoting website/blog,

Family or strangers? Take both!

Just where to start promoting?

Family and friends are a good starting point as long as they are open to your new discovery and want to share the experience with you. But if they are too skeptic, it will be a critical hit for you when you try to talk about it and get shot down with cynical and pessimistic remarks telling you to earn money by getting another employment.
The first will help you grow and learn more and more about business, they will compete with you, help you, share their ideas, discuss with you. They are a great momentum for you.
The latter will be too big a hurdle for those that just started out in SFI because you are missing experience, knowledge and your own prove that SFI works. Since they are dear to you, their negative feedback might ruin your momentum and you might even loose the opportunity to ever be able to promote them. But even as such a big wall, they are able to help you in your learning process. You will be able to collect lots of negative arguments that might come from strangers, too, and create some winning answers.

Promoting strangers is done quite easily, though the rate of failing is much bigger: you never know whether they are telling the truth or whether they will truly work hard. But by having more chances to promote, you can learn advertising methods quite well. Even if the individual feedback is missing, you will see by tracking your ads and their VP ledger where you were successful. Most methods will even take the least of your time, so you can concentrate about understanding SFI (learning and cramming) better with each passing day.

My suggestion:
Set up some online ads (= strangers) as immediate action and take your time meanwhile to read SFI basics, 1st launchpad lesson and 1st RoS (Rule of Success). If you are able to talk to dear friends and family, tell them you found something interesting, that's worth a deeper look. If they are sceptic leave them be until you've learned more, if not, invite them to learn more about SFI together with you.
Whatever happens, you can still advertise and promote strangers meanwhile to strenghten your downline.
