Many affiliates seem only interested in the Daily To-Do list. How can I motivate them to do other activities?

Hi Daphne,

I would be ecstatic if more affiliates were interested in doing AT LEAST their Daily To-Do list! The reality is that many do it halfheartedly or not at all. Therefore, I think it is a very positive sign when affiliates log-in regularly to do their Daily To-Do list.

Perhaps they don't do much else because they want to absorb one part of the program before skipping to the next stage; many may feel overwhelmed by so much information and prefer to stick to a simple routine;

How do you learn to write effective ads if you have never written any ads before?

Hi Dan,

Advertising is about whetting someone's appetite for something they didn't even know they wanted until they saw it. Watch how they present ads on TV, for example. I know I've wanted a Dyson vacuum cleaner ever since I saw their ad, even though I already have a perfectly good vacuum cleaner at home. That's the power of advertising!

To harness the power of advertising in this case, you have to convince those who read your ads that they really need your product or service.

When you initiate an online chat with a new PSA, what should you discuss?

You only have a small window of opportunity to catch and maintain your affiliates' attention in a chat, so make sure the first thing they know is who you are and what you can do for them, in short and easy-to-read sentences. If they have just joined SFI, tell them they can read your Greeting for valuable tips on how to get started.

If the affiliates answer back and ask questions (what a blessing!) provide simple answers so as not to overwhelm them. While you chat, don't forget to check

How do you explain to potential ECA prospects what the E-Commerce Associate program is all about?

First of all, potential ECA prospects need to know that TripleClicks is a reputable online store. In order to do that, you need to explain what TripleClicks is and how long it has been in business. Once they understand the concept of TripleClicks, you can explain the ECA program.

Perhaps the best way to explain the ECA program is to tell them that TripleClicks is like a gigantic mall that has the very best location on Earth: the internet. The 'foot' traffic is in the hundreds of thousand

This is a very good question:

Although SFI has many good team leaders who make every possible effort to help their downlines, I believe that the best example of a truly successful leader at SFI would be Gery Carson, perhaps because he is the most visible leader we have.

Despite all his years of success, he still takes time out of his busy schedule to check out the Forum and answer questions. We feel his presence every single day. He is continuously looking for ways to improve

What is the best way to maintain my SFI position and continue to support my team whilst on vacation with limited, if any, internet availability?

Hi Wendy-Ann!

The best way to maintain your SFI position and continue to support your team is:

1. Turn your Vacation mode "ON" to preserve your VP streak.

2. Send your entire team a Group Mailer before you leave, letting them know how long you will be away, and include as much general information as you can, to tide them over until you get back. This is especially important if you have active PSAs or CSAs who need special attention: in this case, try to

Is it worthwhile to send individual welcome letters to new PSAs...or can I just send out group mailings?

Hello Jovan,

Personally, I prefer individual messages. I have a short welcome letter I send to new affiliates as soon as they arrive, because chances are they will also read my official PSA Greeting, and I don't want to inundate them with too much information.

If many affiliates arrive at the same time, I send them my short welcome message through a group mail, only because I want them to receive it as soon as possible. But if they arrive one by one, I like to send them E-cards

How does the new Fast-Track 2.0 program improve my SFI and TripleClicks business?

Hi Ash,

The new Fast-Track 2.0 program improves your business because a) you earn commissions from the 20-dollar minimum sale/purchase your new affiliates make to get the Fast Track badge; and b) any affiliate who gets the Fast-Track badge will be more likely to do what is necessary to become EA and maintain that rank each month, because they will be committed to giving it their best shot.

Although not all of your new affiliates will want to become active straight away, those

What is the best way to explain either to a prospect or a new affiliate the relationship between SFI and Tripleclicks or Pricebenders?

Hello Jack,

This is how I explain the relationship between SFI and TripleClicks to my prospects in the simplest of terms:

I tell them that SFI is our 'office' where we come to do our daily chores, recruit new affiliates and get together with our team to strategize and see if any member needs help. We also set aside some time to learn how to improve our business by going to the ASK SC section and the Forum to see what the experts have to say about a wide range of topics, and

Hello William,

I believe that the best way to stand out from the crowd is your willingness to help others. Whether it is at SFI or elsewhere, share the knowledge you acquire. Become a teacher! Create a website or write a blog, start a forum discussion or leave a comment on a post you found interesting, so that you get noticed by the author and others who comment on that post. Become visible!

I was explaining to my husband yesterday that we as humans tend to gravitate towards
