To be successful in SFI, what attributes do you need the people on your team to have?

Thank you for your question, "To be successful in SFI, what attributes do you need the people on your team to have?". I think that the first attribute that team members need is patience. SFI is not a get rich quick scheme and success doesn't come overnight.
The next attribute needed is a willingness to learn. There is a lot of material that needs to be read and understood. This goes hand-in-hand with the first attribute of patience. If your team member is serious about SFI, they will be willing to take the time necessary to learn from the Launch Pad lessons and the Rules of Success. I stress to my team members that the knowledge that they gain from this forms the foundation on which their business is built. The greater the knowledge, the firmer the foundation will be.
I think that the next attribute is enthusiasm. If you aren't enthuastic about SFI and the great opportunity it is, how are you going to convince anyone else to join? Make sure that your attitude matches your words. Excitement is catching.
Another attribute is determination. When you are determined to succeed, you will find a way to overcome any obstacle that stands between you and the goal that you need to reach to achieve success. You never give up! When you make a mistake, you learn from it so that you won't repeat it.

Good communication with our team is vital in SFI, but what if we are not good writers; how do we learn to write well?

Good communication with our team is vital in SFI and SFI gives us samples of letters, cards, etc. that we can use. Just remember that good communication has to work both ways. Sometimes I find that being a good listener for me is the hardest part of the communication process. I am thinking about what I want to say instead of listening closely to what the other person is telling me so I miss the whole point of what the team member is trying to convey. I also find that there are times that a team member just needs to vent or they need encouragement.
Don't worry about your writing skills because you can become a good writer through practice and if you are a good listener, your team members will not complain about your writing skills.

How can I be effective recruiting affiliates face to face and one on one?

I heard something the other day that I think applies to this question, "Believe what you are saying! How can you convince anyone to believe what you are saying if you don't believe it yourself?" You need to be confident that SFI is the best opportunity available to achieve long term financial success. You can gain confidence by learning as much as you can about SFI and how it works.
Do you remember what convinced you to join SFI? Be willing to share with your recruit why you joined. Be prepared to answer questions and always be completely honest with your answers. If your recruit loses confidence in you, they also lose confidence in SFI.
Practice what you are going to say. You can probably get a family member to listen and give you feedback on your presentation.
Listen to your recruit. Don't get so caught up in thinking about what you want to say that you miss out on what they are saying.
Always be polite and professional. Always remember to say thank you to your recruit for taking the time to listen to your presentation.

How do we know that if we stay with SFI that we will make money and become successful?

Thank you for your question because it is a question that most of us ask ourselves when we get discouraged. To answer your question, I think that we must ask ourselves another question and answer it honestly. Why did I choose to become an affiliate of SFI and has the circumstances changed that caused me to choose to become an affiliate? Most of us joined SFI because it provided us with the best opportunity to earn money and to achieve our dreams of owning our own business. With all of the changes made in last six months, our chances of succeeding has only improved. One thing is certain. If we quit, we will never know how close we were to fulfilling our dreams.

Should I prospect people to become affiliates only from my own country...or from everywhere?

Thank you for your question. Now I have a question for you, why would limit yourself only to prospects from your own country? With today's technology you can reach out and touch billions where not to long ago you were limited to reaching out to the people nearest to you.
If your main concern is different languages, you can use a translator. I do realize that will take more time but it would be time well spent if you get a hardworking PSA! If you are building your downline and you have a team member who speaks the same language, you could ask him/her for help or transfer your new recruit to that team member. If you are worried about miscommunication because of the language differences, I will tell you this little story. My husband and I are from the same country, supposedly speak the same language, and have talked for about an hour only to discover that we were talking about two entirely different things and it has happened more than once.
It is already hard to find new PSA'S who want to work and are willing to stick with SFI long enough to achieve success. Don't place an additional handicap on yourself by limiting your field of recruits to your own country.

I think that the best way to train your PSA'S and your CSA'S is to set an example and to be available for help and support. No one wants to follow a leader who doesn't lead! Since duplication is the best way to earn a steady income, encourage your team to grow their own team. You can start a co-op and/or purchase S-builder. You can offer support and encourage. Let them know that you will be available to answer questions. Send e-cards when they have an accomplishment.
I am blessed with an awesome team leader and I try to follow his example but not everyone has a good leader. If you are one of the latter, think about what you struggled with as a new affiliate and that will give you a starting point to help your team.
Make sure your leadership page is up to date. Keep up with the changes that are happening almost daily in SFI and let your team know about them. Encourage them to read the newsletters and the information that is provided on their to-do list. I stress that the forum and ask-sc can provide a wealth of helpful information from experienced affiliates.

I would say no because I believe that the main reason that we joined
SFI was to start our own business and to make money from that business.
As long as we treat people with respect and and we are honest with them,
most problems can be solved.
My husband and I have been married 41 years and there are times when
we are having a conversation but about halfway through the discussion, we
realize that we are talking about two different things. So even though we
speak the same language, we still have problems communicating.
Communication is the key to success.

Thank you for your question "What is the fastest way to build a team of affiliates in SFI?". For me the answer begins with knowledge. You can purchase PSAS but if you haven't learned how to be a team leader, how will you teach them? The best and fastest way of success in SFI is duplication. In order for duplication to work, you have to learn and then teach what you have learned to your PSAS. Then they will repeat the process.

He has successfully run his own business during those years so if I need advice, he is the one that I naturally turn to for that advice. He doesn't become involved in the day-to-day work but he is always willing to listen and offer a fresh perspective if I need his help. He is also my number one cheerleader who believes in me, even when I have doubts! I am thankful every day for his support.

What was it that made you realize that SFI is the real deal?

This is the easiest question that I have answered in Ask SC! My father is my sponsor and I trust him, therefore I trusted SFI because I know that he did his research before he invested his time and money into SFI.
There is another reason that I know how good SFI is and that reason is that it saved his sanity. Five years ago my mother died unexpectedly from a heart attack. They had been married for forty-two years and he was lost without her. He was a member but he really didn't become active until after her death. He turned to SFI and began working in earnest. I could see a difference in him and I was very thankful that he had found something that held his interest. When he asked if I would like to join, I said yes because I thought that I would be helping him by showing a interest in what he was doing. He began helping me but it wasn't long before I too became aware that SFI offers a great opportunity to begin investing in my future and my own business. I have had bouts of depression and there are days when SFI is the main reason that I get out of bed. I look forward to starting my day by logging in and usually SFI is the last place that I look at before going to bed. I guess that not only did SFI help my father to get through one of the worst times in his life but it has also given me back my father and helped me to overcome depression as well.
