This is a very good question. There are many answers to this question and I will try to list a few.
1. I think that the new affiliates have signed up thinking that this is a Get Rich Quick program

2. They think that they do not have to do anything to make it work

3. They have major information overload, a lot of people can not handle all the info thrown at them all of a sudden

4. They signed up just for a look around and find out that this is not

An interesting question "which LaunchPad lesson is best".
I think that all of the LaunchPad lessons are important. These lessons are the lessons that teach you the basics of SFI and owning and operating your own business. There is a lesson for each of the first thirty days of your membership in SFI. SFI offers this training free, so therefore there is no reason to not take advantage of it.

In retrospect I truely believe that there is no best lesson in LaunchPad. I

Is it worth it to keep sending supportive emails to PSAs and CSAs who have 0 VP and been inactive for weeks or months?

Yes it is worth it to keep sending mails to your PSAs and CSAs who are inactive. You never know when one of these affiliates will become active and start logging into their account every day and start buying products from TripleClicks. Either way it will eventually make you money and/or advance you in rank. I will keep mailing all of my affiliates each and every week in the hopes that they will become active.

What would be a better goal and why? Sponsor hundreds of new PSAs every year or teach a smaller number of EAs to each develop EAs themselves?

Which would be better and why? In my opinion I think that it would be better to sponsor affiliates then concentrate on the ones who show promise. But do not forget the ones who you have sponsored. Some of them may become active and then you can help them to become and EA or above.
No matter which you choose offer support to all of your affiliates.

If you could completely start over with SFI today, knowing what you know now, what would you do differently?

This is a question that I have thought about a lot lately.
If I could start all over today and know what I now know I would not delay in getting started. By delaying getting started I lost out on a lot of things assosciated with the E365 program. I would also have studied the training sections better, especially the ones concerning recruitment and training (duplication) and leadership, I lost quite a few team members by not being an effictive leader. Also I would have taken advantage of
