What is a good weekly support message to send your downline?

The messages I send are always simple and to the point. Mine are either a motivational message based on a quote I've found somewhere or are a basic tip about a tool or source of information SFI has.
The motivational messages are easy. When I run across a quote that seems profound I send a message to the team. "Hey, I just ran across this quote and wanted to share it with you..." Then I add a short statement about why that quote is meaningful to me or why it is especially meaningful as an SFI affiliate and send it.
For the tips and tools, I try to remember that many who signed up may not even know how to create a ad or something really basic like that. Then I'll describe how the tool SFI has makes it really easy, just copy and paste, etc. Or I'll describe something SFI offers that can give them useful information to help build their SFI business, like the Rules of Success or the Internet Marketing course. And I'll remind them that they can apply this info to SFI or any other internet marketing business they're trying to build.
And of course, always offer to help and give contact info.

I have affiliates come to me for help who are not part of my team--should I help them or send them away?

Help them! We're all part of one community, and our community is improved by helping each other.
Either the affiliate hasn't gotten an answer to their question from their sponsor or they're looking at something you're doing and seeing someone from whom they want ideas or suggestions. Either way, it just takes a moment for you to offer a suggestion, answer their question, or give them a new idea. And we're all better off from you giving of a little of your time because we're better when other affiliates are working with SFI correctly.
You can include in your answer a location in the forum or elsewhere in the affiliate center where they can find more information so that they're more familiar with ways to find the answer themselves in the future.
Naturally, it's quite appropriate to suggest that they might want to contact their sponsor or their upline. While answering questions from others is appropriate, you probably don't want to become a surrogate sponsor... their co-sponsor or someone in their upline should be doing that.

I am online at the Affiliate Center and see that someone just signed up under my link and is online too. What should I do?

Take advantage of the opportunity to make direct contact with the new affiliate by sending a friendly greeting. "Hi, my name is ________. I'm your sponsor with SFI and I noticed you were online. I just wanted to say Hi and let you know that I'm here to help you learn how to make money online with SFI."
I seldom get a response, probably because a number of new affiliates either don't realize I'm trying to initiate a chat session, or because they're off in a different window doing something else and don't see the chat.
And, of course, I always follow up that contact with my email to them with more detailed information about getting started and how to contact me for help.

Do you differentiate your level of support for your downline depending on their rank?

And my answer is: Absolutely!
I will definitely differentiate the level of support provided to team members based on their rank. Different ranks indicate different levels of knowledge and experience, and the support provided needs to take those factors into account.
A experienced BTL who needs help, for example, should get a different type of response to a question than a brand new Affiliate who asks a similar question. In this example, the BTL's question, while similar, requires a different response in order to be effective given his or her experience level as compared to the new Affiliate.
The important point here is that you need to tailor your response and the support you provide to your team members based on their knowledge and experience.
If you own a store you don't want to treat every customer who comes through the door the same. A brand-new customer needs to be welcomed and offered some assistance to help find what they're looking for. A customer who has been coming to your store for a long time knows where things are, and is best served by being told of new items in the store or sale items. Perhaps you have some new merchandise that would help the customer to get better value out of a purchase they made last month, so you would want to point that out.
So differentiate the support you provide by trying to tailor it to the experience level of your team members.
But make sure you provide support and encouragement to ALL of your team!

Good question. There are several things to consider when you're selecting a banner.
First, narrow down the choices by selecting a banner that's the right size. Then select one that uses the right colors for your site. You want to find a banner that will attract attention but not clash with the color scheme of your website.
Then think about your target market. Choose a banner that has content appropriate for the market you're trying to reach. For example, there are many country specific banners - make a webpage to target that country and use it in a country targeted advertising campaign.
Finally, test different banners in each of your target markets, and adjust your page as needed according to the results you're getting. Having real data with which to make the decision is the best indicator of which banner is right for your website!

Great question! It's good to know there are several places where you can find some success stories.
First, look to your upline, including your co-sponsor. If they're at Gold or Silver, then you know they're doing several things well to make SFI work for them. Ask them how they're doing it... most will be happy to share.
Second, look at the leader boards. The monthly leaderboard shows a number of people who are successful. There may not be an actual story for you to read there, but there is a story in that list. Each of those affiliates has done the work to become a success.
And finally, there are success stories at the bottom of this page. Click the "What Others Are Saying" link for some great stories. And you can use those quotes in your marketing efforts, too!

I have affiliates who are inactive. Is it a good idea or bad idea to reassign them to my active affiliates?

It's a good idea when done correctly. Reassign inactives to your active affiliates to give them an opportunity to develop their skills at working with others, communicate to their team, and get the VP from using the team mailer.
Don't reassign inactives as an incentive... they may not ever become an asset to the active affiliate who's receiving them.
And it's a good idea to communicate to those reassigned. A quick explanation that you're reassigning them within your team and you're still available to help them (if they ever choose to become active) is a simple courtesy that will only take a moment.

What should you write about on your blog on your SFI Leadership Page?

Write about anything related to SFI. It's a blog, so it's open for your use to share ideas, tips, suggestions, and inspiration with your team.
If a thought or question about a subject enters your mind, then someone on your team has probably also had a similar thought or question. Help them by sharing your thoughts on the subject, and offer your suggestions for how to solve the problem.
Talk about how to build a business with SFI. Things like logging in daily, regularly advertising on free ad sites, having a standing order, are all good subjects. Even though those topics are written about a lot in SFI, a lot of newer team members may not have found that information elsewhere yet. And even if they did, repetition helps to strengthen the learning process.
Just write anything as long as it's not cross-solicitation. Having some content there will show new team members that you're there, making an effort, and that alone can be helpful to them.

I think the 3 biggest keys to success with SFI are Learning, Doing, and Commitment.
LEARNING. Learn how to build a business with SFI. Use the numerous tools like the LaunchPad, the Rules of Success, the Internet Income course, and others to build your knowledge of internet marketing. Ask questions of your sponsor and co-sponsor about what works for them. Dedicate some time daily to building your knowledge. And then put that new knowledge to work by Doing.
DOING. Take action daily to build your business. You can get an incredible amount of stuff done in an hour or two with focused effort. Eliminate distractions and spend that hour or two on tasks that actually build your business, not just surfing the internet. It only takes 5 to 10 minutes to place an advertisement, so in about an hour you can place 10 new ads every day. And then the other hour can be spent Learning and helping your team grow.
COMMITMENT. Make a firm commitment to building an internet marketing business with SFI. Be realistic about your goals and expectations - the idea of creating an overnight success is a myth. It will take time to build your business and you will hit bumps in the road. Anticipate them and recognize them as opportunities to grow and learn. L. P. Jacks, the English educator and phlosopher, said, "The pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist, the opportunity in every difficulty."
And, finally, remember that your commitment should not be a promise to yourself to work on your business today and tomorrow, but to work on it every day for the next year - that's the type of commitment that will assure success with SFI or anything in life!
