This is why it is important to establish a good relationship right away with your new PSAs and CSAs. By relationship, I mean a friendly but respectful business relationship. Business people don't always talk business. They also talk about family, hobbies, interests, ans yes, business. When you have this kind of ease of talking with an associate, you have more of a feel for how he is perceiving his business.
Hopefully this will give you time to counter act any negativity from the home. But before this, you should always be positive about the business to him. Be honest, there are a number of discouraging factors, but turn them into challenges that have solutions.
If he is being accused of wasting time, help him to figure how he values his time and where he should spend his time. My goodness, families turn the television on when the kids get home from school and watch it constantly until 11:30 pm. And then it's back on in the morning. To me that's time that could be spent working on this business. What are his priorities?
We spend time on SFI in two ways: our daily hours doing the business, and the months and years it takes to develop it and maintain it.
We must encourage him to keep doing the daily work, including putting in ads. But his spouse and children want his attention, so he has to juggle his time around. Maybe do some in early morning, or later in the evening or after spouse goes to sleep. Many cell phones allow you to do the Daily's during spare time.
As to the question of weeks, months, years, you need to help him understand that the more advertising he can do, the faster his team will build and the shorter time it will take to realize some good money. This also requires doing all that SFI says to do and more, read, participate in Forum and Ask SC, keep corresponding. Concentrated effort brings faster results than hit and miss effort.
Help him set some realistic goals. Keep encouraging him, one pat on the back won't compare to daily draws from the family. Ask him how he is doing on his goals. Help him to figure out how to meet them or to readjust them if necessary. Goals are to help you succeed, not shame you for missing them.
Finally, show him how to actually make money with SFI, selling and using TC products, selling his thing on his T Connect Page, becoming and ECA, etc.
