Sending a weekly newsletter to your downline shows them you are an expert and a professional.

I send my team members newsletters that help them in their business, to get better. I write "how to" articles that teach them about selling, promoting, getting PSA's and so on.

I believe that sending educational messages to your team is beneficiary not only to you but to your downline as well. When they learn and use what you send them they are more successful on their own and you get better as well.

Before you write your newsletters it's best to do research on the subject. While you research and write you learn as well, use your teachings as well.

Therefore the topics you need to focus on are:
- how to sell and promote better
- how to build a website or blog
- how to promote your website or blog
- how and where to promote your gateways
- how to write selling articles
- how to maintain your ranks with a low budget
- how to write ads that bring in the traffic
... and so on ...

When you start your weekly newsletter you need to be consistent about it and deliver each week with a new topic. You can divide larger topics into smaller segments and gain 3 to 4 newsletters.

Before we talk about newsletter topics it is important to question ourselves. As an affiliate what were our expectations from our up-line TL. I am listing a few of what I thought my leader should communicate.

1. Regular updates on SFI happenings.

2. Recognition of achievements.

3. Contests from time to time.

4. Motivational messages.

5. Internet marketing - Industry trends.

6. Team size - How it is growing. The top 3 things that the team leader is doing to grow the team.

The primary objective of a newsletter is to establish a connect between the leader and the team. It also establishes a relationship where the team feel wanted and therefore gets confidence that there is somebody to lean on when they need direction guidance. Make no mistake people who are a part of SFI are primarily driven by a need for financial stability and the zest to become an entrepreneur. It is important to keep that in mind while developing the newsletter content.

These are the best topics that I think we should focus on our newsletter

1. Topics that would increase their interest to become active in SFI

A. The forum have a lot of inspirational posts from our fellow experienced affiliates. How they struggle when they started and became successful because of their hard work. Send them the link of the thread and make a few comments about it.
B. Share your own good experience in SFI

3. Send them topics about ways and strategies to become successful in SFI.

A. What, Where and How to advertise that get results
B. How to become an awesome sponsor
C. Emphasize the advantage of pricebender to grow their business. They can have PSA's, CSA's and great products from the auctions at a lower price.They can even sell the products they've won such as digital camera , cellphones, Macbook Air and etc.
D. Refer ECA
E. Recommend TC direct products and how they can benefit from it.
F. Let them also focus on internet marketing strategies

4. There are 20 index of SFI Rules of Success. You can send them once a week focusing on each topic and making your own comments about it and why it is important for our success in SFI or any businesses we have.

There are many things that can be included in a Newsletter
Its a good idea to have a plan, how you set out the newsletter and what you can include, and how often you will send out the newsletter

The first thing is a Teaching / learning section
All affiliates want to know about Versa points, Tripleclicks, how to advertise/ promote, building downlines. So each newsletter include One topic.

Another idea is to ask your downline what THEY would like to know about, make a list :)

The second part of a newsletter should be dedicated to your team. Congratulate those who have gained fast track badges, become Affiliates, EA2's, BTL etc.
A little Recognition and encouragement can go a long way.
You can even have a " Team member of the month " and offer a Tcredit prize for that member.

The third part should be a section aimed at the future. What you will include in the next newsletter. Any competition information you will be holding. Where you see your team heading.

Finally advise your Team that this is THEIR newsletter and if they wanted to contribute to the newsletter they can email you any SFI stories, tips, ideas and you will include it in the next newsletter. And provide your email.

That would make for a good structured Newsletter :)

As I am close of creating a newsletter, I must share with you thing which I include for now in my TeamMails for my PSA's and CSA's.

Things which are most important are:

1. Daily tasks

Without daily tasks, your affilates may lose the tail. Completing daily tasks is something that makes us doing daily routines and makes a habbit of doing a job.
Daily tasks are kindda easy you must agree. Explain it to them, so it becomes an easy job for them too.

2. Motivation

Tell them in short which are the most important things which they can achieve here. By convincing them they are in the right track, and leading them by YOUR example is most important. Seeing YOUR success will make them work hard to make THEM be successuful.

3. Duplication

Without duplication getting to the goal is harder. As you have found 5-6 great workers beneath you is what they have to achieve. Opposite to what I've said earlier, THEIR success lead to YOUR success. Which in general makes a TEAM work and function great.

This is an excellent question and one that every team leader should understand. The purpose of a newsletter is to synchronize everyone's efforts so that everyone get maximize results. While we are all independent contractors - separate entities loosely tied by the common interest of profits every team member should recognize the importance of following the recommendations as they are given. TLs learn by doing. They have achieve some measure of success in this business so it common sense that if you do what they do you will get the same results.

Some team members see newsletters as an attempt to control them or tell them what to do. They are a far cry from that but recommendations need to be acted upon. This is the only way that team members can validate them - by acting upon them. Without action, this is simply unnecessary communication.

Therefore when communicating with your network via newsletter focus on business generating tips such as:

1. SFI Basics

2. Leadership

3. ECA recruitment strategies and support

4. Growth as it relates to PRMs and PSAs/CSAs

5. Support and strategies needed to support down line members to help them achieve milestones.

Remember not to make your newsletter too long or too short. Give enough information to get the job done. Find ways to make your newsletter interactive and always be open to suggestions. Do the above and your newsletter will be rich with content and boost profits for the entire team.

Focus on what is encouraging and motivational for them, as well as
inspirational writing that makes them feel good about their decision
to join SFI. You can find inspirational quotes from successful people
by searching on your favorite search engines.

Also let them know what you're learning and what is helping you to
get where you're at, especially if you've made EA quickly or achieved
a higher rank.

You should also be quick to answer their questions and always be willing
to chat with them when you see them online. If possible, give them other
ways to contact you besides the SFI site. For instance, give them your skype
id or e-mail address so they can get with you one on one.

Last but not least, use the correct syntax for their first name to show when
you send them a team mail. Seeing their own name helps to make people feel more
comfortable. So do this wherever it's appropriate, and not just at in the greeting.
