The way that I have explained it is quite similar to the way that SFI explains it, except I try to give them something personal to add to it. I let them know that I have personally seen how their store is progressing and let them know that I am excited to be able to assist their store. I let them know that I want NOTHING in return for their business, just that they could help me by becoming a member of this program because I already do business with the program AND I already do business with the merchant, so they could really help me out.
Then I go on to let them know that if they become part of this organization, not only do they owe me nothing, but they also are able to join - FREE OF CHARGE! If they join, I promise them that they I will personally promote their business to ALL of my associates and will do my personal best to ensure that they are receiving some business from my associates around the world - FREE OF CHARGE! They usually love that part and bam... I am about to sign up a new ECA.

Use the resources available to you. There are ECA post cards and brochures available for purchase through TripleClicks. These explain the ECA program to potential prospects. You can read further about the ECA program under the Marketing tab on the scroll bar.
I suggest writing down questions you think potential ECA prospects might ask prior to reading about the ECA program, then taking notes to answer those questions while you read through the ECA program. Some sample questions ECA prospects might ask are: Why should I join this program? How will this benefit my business? What will the cost/bottom line cost be?
You may want to research the benefits of online marketing, as there are companies who still view online marketing as ineffective. When you speak with an ECA prospect, you want to enter as though you are going in to sell a product, because this is exactly what you are doing. You are selling them a product on how to increase their sales through online marketing.

Its simple, you register for free
List your products for free either self manufactured or those you sell for others with right to sell.
Fix your price at your own convinice but have costumers in mind.
Get costumers by advertising your product online, postals, emails or one on one.
Recieve orders, make refunds if you cant deliver the goods
Deliver goods to the costumer through shipping or other means and get your pay. Either by check, paypal etc

The biggest one is worldwide free advertising they get, so concentrate on that part. Let them understand the basic of SFI affiliate's duty (promoting and selling TripleClicks' products) and help them realize how it could increase their profit and range of customers. Don't forget to mention all other benefits as well, such as managing the prices, shipping fees, discounts and making deals with buyers in whatever way they suit best. In one word, they have freedom to set everything up in their own way.
