I think this is not the real question. You have to build a team anyway at the end of the day and you need at least 1500 VP each month. These two goals have to be harmonized somehow, so the real question is: how should I get 1500 VP to build my team most efficiently?

Now the answer is much simpler. If you have to buy something anyway for 1500 VP, you may try buying PSA-s directly, buying co-op shares or buying TC-s and try to win the same in auction. Even less direct approach is buying hit packs for your blogs or SFI splashpages - it is already closer to sponsoring yourself.

If you have these 1500 VP, direct purchasing is not necessary and your decision is about whether you better trust professional recruiting methods you don't control or perhaps "less pro" but fully controlled by you.

The latter has certain advantages: if you use mailers, blogs or your own splashpages, you may transmit your personal message, "brand yourself" and stay out from the crowd even before sign-ups.

Therefore my final answer is: sponsor yourself anyway, you cannot avoid that. Buy PSA directly for VP-s sake or bulk purchases only.

This is a question that many affiliates face.

The truth is, if you have the money to purchase PSAs, this is the fastest way to get a large team quickly. It also gives you a better chance of advancing quickly in SFI if your PSAs become active affiliates.

For those of us that have experience in online marketing and driving traffic, then by all means, go ahead and recruit your own. An additional benefit of this is if you attain Silver Team Leader status, you can set up your ECA to offer PSAs to others for sale.

Additionally, if you do not have enough to buy PSAs or the experience to drive traffic online, you can always follow the free marketing strategies as outlined in the liteature on sponsoring affiliates on SFI.

It is a better way if you learn to sponsor affiliates by free advertising. However free advertising means you need a lot of time to do it. If you don't have to work anywhere else and you are doing SFI in full time terms then it should not be a problem to sponsor affiliates around the clock - around the world...
However I use every month Proprofit co op, and S-Builder.No longer is a lack of time or marketing experience a roadblock to success with SFI. With S-Builder, you can simply plug in to our global advertising co-op and within a few weeks begin receiving sign-ups (both SFI affiliates and TC members).

You could also either buy a unit of S-builder or participate in the coop run by your upline. Another way is participating in Pricebenders auctions to win PSAs. Your question are in fact two questions.

I will try to answer both questions comprehensible.

1. Should you buy PSAs?

If you can sponsor a lot of affiliates, that's best of course. Problem is, can you? Because you see, it's not the question of sponsoring three or four or ten affiliates as there is no guarantee they would be active. Of course, if you can sponsor 5 or 6 affiliates and all of them become super active and their affiliates and their affiliates etc. also become super active, certainly that will be enough. But the big question is where is the guarantee? So you would need as many affiliates as possible, the more the better. Say you have 500 affiliates, chance is 5% of them will be heavily active.

The alternate is, therefore, buy PSAs. That you can do by placing standing order for one or more units of s-builder co-op. So you will receive about 5/6 affiliates each month against each unit you purchase. So your number of affiliates grows quickly and with that, the chance of a portion of them will be hyper active also grows, isn't it?

It is up to you on what you feel you can do, do both just to get some PSAs, when starting out (if you can with the funds you have), if you do know of anyone that would like to make an extra income talk to them about SFI and TripleClick. If that does not work, make an investment and buying your PSAs as an standing order with S-builders co-op, or bid on PSAs at your TripleClick store, as you do so it will help you maintain your EA statues or higher. The more you study on how to accumulate PSAs the better you will be able to pass on your knowledge to your team on how to accumulate PSAs, guide them to the areas with information you felt had the best information on how to accumulate PSAs of their own.

Buying PSA or recruiting them your self is the same thing as both will end up becoming an SFI affiliate. The different in them is TIME, recruiting will take you longer time, let say 2-3 years to have a big downline but with your money you can buy number of affiliates you think you can recruit for 3 years within 1-2 weeks.

The choice here is yours and it all depend on your goal. If you desire huge downline within a short period then buy PSA from a good ECA with good testimonies. Pay for advertising sites and not free site for advertising. After having your huge downline, you can now start sponsoring them by guiding them day by day on what to do and how to do it well.

I believe that if you are able then the best way to get "quality" PSA's is to advertise yourself. This way you know exactly what the ad said and what was or wasn't promised to new signups.

You can target the people who really want to be here instead of relying on an advertisement that someone else has placed that may be making wild promises.

This is just my thought but..if the signups you could buy are of a high quality then why would they be for sale? Why wouldn't the seller just place them in their own team? That would make a lot more sense.

With regards to advertising for signups, try the free ads first to get your skills and confidence up then move into paid advertising. The results are generally much better.
