This is really good question !!

First of i want to tell you that, every one who joins SFI feels it as overwhelming.

The reason is whenever some one is starting a new business he has to be familiar with all the pros and cons. Now any thing which is new has to be studied first unless we know completely about that particular business, we feel it as overwhelming. As SFI has its own unique feature which require lots of experience to get grip of it, so new affiliate has to be guided and to taught all the various concept involved in this business.

When i joined SFI, i too had the same feeling but with support of my Team Leader.I learnt each and every aspect of SFI, and now i feel it very simple.

The same method i use for my new affiliate that not to get confused and learn as much as you can, and still not cleared come to me any time.

I was totally overwhelmed in my first month!
There is so much info that I wanted to take in, I got more and more confused!

Then I decided just to take 1 piece of info at a time untill it made sense to me, that way I finally 'got it'.

Now, when I send a teammail, I also try not giving too much info. Take it 1 step at a time.

Read, read and read untill you understand!

When speaking with people, explain that it takes a good month to get your head around things and there is no need to rush. Let them know that SFI has things organised to teach us one lesson at a time a.k.a. the LaunchPad equals 30 days of learning/practising.

Suggest warmly that daily they click on the 'Start' button, the 'SFI Basics' button, and the 'To-Do List' button, and follow the prompts because familiarity develops understanding.

Take time with your newbees to explain this, so when it is their turn, they understand they can be kind to themselves, they have time, and that by the end of their first month they'll be whizzing round their site, comfortable as can be :)

Honestly, I'd give you a brief answer to this question.

For SFI not to be overwhelming i believe you first of all need to immerse yourself in the program, make sure you read and understand every bit of sfi, follow and be active at the forum, make sure the SFI basics and Lunchpad series are information you not just know, but can apply without hassle, also understand much about TripleClicks too & IAHBE, that way when your team members need any sort of help, you can also assist them with that and break it all up so as for them to also understand the program same way you do too.

With this i believe SFI wont be overwhelming for either you or members of your team.

This is a question for each new affiliet

When you join, you get every day at a lesson in Launchpad. These lessons explain how SFI works. If you do not understand, read it again. This is the first step.
We also have a: START, SFI Basics, ultra-simple 3-step plan, My gateways, many tools available. Use them.
  When you learn a basics, you doing the easy duplication with new affiliet.
Be in touch with the new member, be in touch with the sponsor, use Skype, Facebook or other social networks.
  Gain work habits, this is serious business, make a plan and goals. You must have a clear objective, positive thinking, do not let the negative people out of the track.

Do not stay alone, this is a team effort, do not wait until someone calls you, call you!

Do it every day-TO-DO Lists, read Alert, read the News. Everything is here, just pay attention!
Each day give at least two ads. Advertise TripleClicks. Advertise products. Advertise Sellers. Advertise for new members. But be moderately, do not molest!

Be active, ask questions, give answers, see forum, join the SFI group on Facebook.
Write your blog. Learn how, if you do not know. Make your site and advertising
And finally, do not let you get tired, do not give up.

Map out your time, this is a long-term job, learn how to work, and enjoy by working!

Well, personally I find it overwhelming when I sign up at SFI, especially when I was directed and landed to SFI homepage and seeing those dollars bills coming out from a laptop screen.
Seems like everybody gets overwhelm from beginning, because there are a lot of questions coming out just by thinking and needs to find out.
At starts, you have to go thru your SFI Basic, Launch pad , marketing and internet advertising lessons with different kind of lesson #, and that’s really overwhelm me at start.
But for everyday logging to my SFI homepage, I get used to it, including the use of all those toolbars and by joining contest which win a prize and I enjoy it now. That means, this are all ingredients, it’s like your cooking with all the ingredients around in order to come up with a good taste to satisfy your needs.
Most important, to further satisfy the question, we must set a GOALS , in SFI I think everyone of us has its own goal , meaning we have a common goal here and we must do something, not alone, but as a team to attain that goal.

Well I been in SFI for almost 14 years and you do what you can
and you always stay focus on what your wanting to happen.
I tell my downline the samething don't be in a hurry your get there
one step at a time. Take your time and understand it is not a race
your looking for people like you and not everybody is going to be like you.
As long as your advertising daily, doing your daily, weekly, monthly and
1 time task and following SFI rules to success your make it.
That is your key to success in SFI.

This is a great question and relevant for every affiliate - no matter how long you have been involved with SFI.

I have found it useful to encourage everyone to focus primarily on 2 things when starting out:

1. Complete the Launch Pad Lessons each day - the lessons are full of information about SFI and how an affiliate may benefit from having a relationship with SFI. The more informed we are as affiliates, the better we are at marketing and sharing with prospects about how SFI can help them reach their dreams,

2. Complete the tasks that are listed on the To-Do List tab on an affiliate's home page - this list helps to focus efforts on tasks that are needed to be completed daily, weekly and monthly. When the To-Do list is followed, this helps to reduce the distractions from what is needed to be done and ensures that something is done every day to promote the business.

Interesting question I must say. To answer this, I must say that,when you set out to start any business,you must be well prepared to tackle any issues that will come up along the way. The way and manner you go about solving the issues as they come up also determines how successful you will be in that business.

I had a unique experience the very first day I signed up. I was working on ClixSense.com,stumbled upon SFI and out of curiosity I signed up not knowing what awaited me.By the time I logged in,I was totally thrown off balance,didn't know where to start from as there were so much to read and understand. But,then again I saw this, "hey new affiliate,don't know where to start,click here" so I clicked on it and the rest is history.

The experience I had was the same experiences most affiliates had but didn't look well enough to know there is a guide on how to start. I signed up many affiliates in my first month of being in SFI but didn't see any of them getting beyond 10 Vp the same day. So I took my time to compose instructions on "getting started" and each time I sign up an affiliate,I send these instructions after the welcome message. This has worked for me and most of the affiliates who took time to go through it usually qualify as EA the same day they signed up.

SFI has a wonderful launch pad. However people feel ragged after the first few days during that time they have registered and are launching themselves into SFI with preconceived ideals and pressures to prove themselves.

I find that games are helpful to get around the feeling of being bombarded. By playing a 'game' people are more likely to be receptive to repeatedly push the same buttons. [Think of Pavlov's dog training experiments]. When that person does something automatically they reward themselves by something they think is appropriate to them.

you are no longer just you and your computer going over the steps one step at a time - wondering if you have run out of ideas or even missed something. I you feel stale or like you need a break then this will reflect in what you do and how you approach things.


Example of a game...
Simply I draw a grid of two x vertical and two x horizontal in a box.

For me the top Left square is blank. On this blank square I physically place the different cards which tell me what order I am going to do what today. When I pull out one of these cards that tells me to place a message the rest of the grid is used.

The top and side boxes are numbered.

Insert along the top line three keyword[s] - same along the outer vertical row.

For instance these six words may be :team, versapoints, emotion, where to, what if.... the list is long and so these six words may change frequently

Each day I look for three different things which I can share by 'Stream" / "Genealogy" or "Leadership" blog about simply by pulling out of a 'hat' a number from the top and another from the side. These may correspond with todays words being 'VP's' and 'How to'.

Rewards: Since the top left is now filled with "where cards" the top right has a spare box named self rewards.Refer above.
