Yes it is effective but you need to keep activity going in the Room, keep your affiliates chatting and interacting. And preferably keep it a useful fun place.Remember it is social networking.

You can only keep your team members interacting by being present, interacting.Ask questions in the group, and ask everyone to respond and discuss.
Hold competitions - say you’re going to award the top 3 most active affiliates a prize - get people motivated to contribute.

You could

Yes, it is very helpful. I have tried to explain through skype to my friend locally in my country. I found it is very effective using screen share option of skype. You can either show your screen or view recipients screen while making conversation.

If you are viewing your friends screen, you can able to explain detail screen and pages. Suppose you are explaining SFI Homepage tab, you will see his entire screen on skype with full screen mode, it will be easy to you explain each Tabs,

I use Skype with not only my team members but with other affiliates that I associate with as well. I find that Skype is a great tool for this business, because we can not only have a real time text conversation, but also if necessary we can have a video chat as well. This is a wonderful program that doesn't cost anything to download and use. I tell all of my affiliates that by getting Skype it is the fastest way to get in touch with me.

Skype offers a great way of connecting with your

I myself have used Skype utilizing all methods of communication: text, voice, and video. I highly recommend the use of Skype in your SFI business. I personally have used Skype for quite some time and definitely suggest video because it cancels out any form of miscommunication that is often lost in text. It also really helps with building much more personal and business relationships because you can see facial expressions, and here the persons voice. Isn't that what business is all about? Besides,

Using Skype as a communications tool with your team members has its pros and cons.

Pros:
Using Skype can be useful to gain the confidence of your new Affiliate members to gain their respect and trust.
It is a great tool to extend an ongoing friendship with your active downline.
Some Affiliates will appreciate the one-on-one contact to understand the topic of discussion.
And, it is a motivational tool if you are willing to spend a little one on one time with a struggling

If you are not using Skype you are missing out on an excellent marketing tool for talking with your team members and new prospects.

I use Skype for most of my business calls and always include it in my welcome email for new affiliates.

Skype will become even more valuable soon as Microsoft (owners of Skype) are encouraging MS Messenger users to use Skype as MS Messenger will soon be turned off.

It is effective for one on one and conference calls. The cost free if

I LOVE SKYPE!!!

and yes I did mean to shout that.

While Skype is not perfect it does help "put a face" to your business. Your PSA's CSA's and friends can actually *see* your enthusiasm and I've found entusiasm to be "catching". I find that those affiliates that I can "Skype" with are more involved and seem to get with the program faster.

One word of caution though, Keep the discussion to business because you can very easily get off

All tools has its own appropriate uses. Almost everybody will say that these tools are effective to use in communicating with team members. But based on my experience I would say yes and no. I will start with no.

It is not effective when your team members are shy and can not speak well specially English. It will cause embarrassment and may just refuse to communicate with you any further.

Technically it is not effective if either of you have slow internet connection, you will

Great question! Honestly, I've not used any type of video chat myself with my SFI team, but I've been on a few video chats hosted by others for things like learning Facebook, chatting about blogging systems, etc.

I would have to say, as long as you and your team are comfortable with being on camera, and you can all coordinate to have a half hour or an hour free at the same time, absolutely it will be effective.

What video chat has done is taken the "old" way of networking;

Yes, I used Yahoo Messenger and am very pleased. I think it's the best way to communicate in real time with your affiliates.

I am always online whenever they need me give me a buzz and we respond.

You can download the program Yahoo Messenger from the official website Yahoo! It will not cost you anything, just make an account and you can talk to any affiliate!
