Badges are so important because they define who we are. In SFI it is another level that the affiliate has reached and they are being recognized and honored for this with this badge. This is just like being in the military, and how they earn their stripes. The more stripes they own, the higher their rank will be.

Having badges is good for recruitment when trying to get affiliates to sign under you. When they see your badge, they will be quicker to sign under you because they would see that

As a new affiliate getting bagdes encouraged me in moving forward. It was a symbol of progress and acknowledgement. When you chose your A2A members it helps you distinguish who is a committed, serious affiliate and from who you can learn something.

Badges indicate the performance of an affiliate. It serves as an open portfolio for fellow affiliates to know how their peers are doing. The number of badges doesn't indicate that one is better than the others, the badges are supposed to assist new affiliates in knowing which areas or points that new affiliates should focus on. These introduces them to the various arenas for them to work on. For an example, a newly joined affiliate might be wondering what does the IAHBE badge stands for and might

When I am looking for guidance or answers I look for the people who can deliver what I need and who I can have confidence in their ability. When I look throughout this business, I see the badges beside people's names, and I begin to understand what they have done to achieve these badges and I can trust their guidance. As for my badges, how good is it to see them appear beside your name...speaks volumes really.

In every profession and business there is something that differentiates one cadre or category from one another. In SFI the same applies, hence the need for badges.

The following are the reasons why I believe badges are necessary:
It bestows prestige and honor
It shows level of commitment
It attracts attention
It portrays accomplishment
It advertises the element of hard work achieved through following the rules of success of SFI

Anybody can see the active participation you have had in SFI. They may not understand fully what is entailed at the moment. But it certainly is proof of growth within a known period of time. It is also a measuring stick at a glance of how your individual progress compares with others who have been in SFI for the same period of time. It is almost like a race which the badges show where you are in the race--and what you must do to catch up.

So, use it as a guide for your progress toward
