Having your own autoresponder gives you the ability to capture your prospects information. If they join SFI through one of your gateways you can communicate with your new affiliate through SFI.

With an autoresponder you can communicate with your own autoresponder in case they did not signup at your SFI gateway. You need to build a list of prospects and stay in communication with them. If your new to autoresponders you need to learn how they work.

If you do not understand and can be trained to follow the instructions exactly to achieve the result, and then your business will be automated in the delivery of important information!

Auto-responders are actually discouraged by SFI. However, SFI does have something similar to an auto-responder. We have Team Mails, PSA, CSA and Genealogy Mailers. With these, if you keep the messages as a reference for yourself, you can send them out as needed for Welcome or Encouragement to people as they enter your downline and as they progress through SFI.

A true auto-responder can be good for recruiting as long as you tell those who have joined this way that they should unsubscribe from that list or you watch for the ones who have joined. Studies show that it often takes 7-10 contacts for someone to sign up, so in this way the auto-responder would be good.

As for the SFI Team Mail, you should answer your downline's or upline's questions on a one to one basis, but if someone has a question that the whole team would benefit from learning the answer or the person's suggestion, then you should answer that person and share with the group also. No one needs to know who asked. And there is no such thing as a bad question.

If You have your own blog/website hosted either through "Very VIP" (Triple Clicks' domain/hosting option) or some external hosting provider that You use to promote SFI and/or other ventures You are affiliated with, then Auto-Responder can be great and powerful tool. It enables You
to instantly "reply" to interested customers with generic messages

"Thank You for Your interest in (...) it is great opportunity (etc.)

This is an automated message, Your inquiry will be answered by live person within (enter time frame within You are confident You can reply personally)

If You are considering using Auto-Responder for contacting Your PSA/CSA's, I would advise against it, since Your SFI/TC group is quite a different
"beast", they are already members of SFI/TC, whether active or not, You should contact them exclusively on person to person, or group by group basis.
(ie. Active PSA/CSA's, active EA's, EA2's etc., inactives and so forth.

My opinion is that automated message is welcome, just as the first message passes SFI, the registration of new members. When you register a new PSA, a better e-mail, which is not sent automatically, but personally written with useful tips and answers that should help some of the new PSA and understanding of the work.
If you have your own personal website through which we include new members on it ,than is good if we put our questions and answers on the same website automatic, because you automatically respond to help someone who has just met with the first information about the SFI, get as many useful examples of why this is very good work and business.

I do not see any benefit to using an auto-responder. Perhaps it is because as a leader I prefer to be more one-on-one and personal with people. My goal is to talk to my affiliates and find out their strengths to see how I can help them apply them to SFI. If I used auto-responders I do not feel I could be as effective of a leader as I am. SFI requires that personal touch, keep it real and it helps to motivate your affiliates.

In my opinion auto-responder system might not be the correct tool for SFI. The main reason is that to become a good sponsor, you have to give exact and accurate answers, and it should be logical. Many things, which we discuss while attempting to answer our affiliates, like their personal background and their lifestyle etc. are to be personally interacted. And not by simply using an auto-responder.

Autoresponders can help your business by automating the replies to questions you get all the time, but they can hurt your business if the people receiving the messages feel that you don't care about them because you are sending them canned messages, or overwhlemed by the volume of email. SFI Corporate sends enough messages to new affiliates without you adding more for them to read!

If you have your own website to help your team understand SFI, you can use an autoresponder to send them a series of messages that help to simplify the program for them. But even then, you have to be careful because your team members will have different levels of proficiency in English and may not understand what you have written.

One way to "automate" letters is to write personal responses to letters but when you are writing, if you come up with a really great answer to a question, save it in a file. Then the next time someone asks you about entering the Daily Grand, you can find a great reply already written in your file called "daily-grand.txt." Write them a personal letter, based on whatever else they say to you, but also copy and paste that info into your letter. It is the best of both worlds!

Using or not using auto responders in your SFI business is up to you. SFI urges us to never use any for our SFI business but I think they said that because most people don’t know how to use one. Auto responders can cause more harm than good to your business if you don’t understand how it works or how to use it. I will not condemn it because many people don’t have time to compose daily/weekly messages. I personally hate too much blast from auto responder so know how you use it. There are many eBooks at TripleClicks that you can read, learn and become an auto responder master very quickly.

Want to use the auto responder? No problem but I personally advice that you use it lightly like blasting about just 2 to 4 times a month and for some kinds of messages.

Messages that should be sent via the auto responder should be monthly tips and hints to all team affiliates while other personal messages need to be sent and answered personally.

Even with the entire above, auto responder is not the way to go in building your SFI business! Messages are likely to end up in spam unless the subscriber is double opt in which isn’t easy to accomplish. If you have the time, refrain from that too and use the SFI only Mailer. The SFI mailing system is no doubt 100% legit. All messages get to inbox and showing that they are from SFI makes it even more irresistible.

If you have your own web page/capture page system to recruit people from your own advertising into SFI, then it would be OK to use an auto-responder as part of that recruiting funnel, although you would have more success using a more personal touch, especially in the final stages of getting someone to take a look at our business.

Once they are recruited, I would recommend you never mail them via an auto-responder, even if you go on vacation. The tools SFI gives you to look at what any one of your affiliates is doing, and to get messages to them, are very strong. Use the TeamMail system consistently, check your genealogy frequently, and you have all the advantages of an auto-responder without the downside.

Never send an anonymous message to someone you know. It's an insult.
