He needs to TAKE RISK, not just invest his TIME and MONEY!
He needs to be BOLD with the limited resources (money) that he has; that the RISK he is willingly to take will YIELD to hundred folds.

As SFI president Gery Carson says, it's ABSURD to think you can succeed in SFI if you're not visiting the SFI Affiliate Center at least once a day and reading the latest information. EVERY DAY you should be checking SFI News, SFI Power Tips, and reading the latest posts at the SFI Forum. I personally have learned more from the SFI Forum than any other SFI resource.
But don't stop with the SFI Affiliate Center. I go out on the Web every day and read business and marketing information sites from IAHBE and other resources. There's a wealth of information out there, all you have to do is go seek it out!
Everything you need to succeed has already been written and is just waiting for you to go read it.

Canvass neighborhoods with fliers.

Referrals, do the to do list, get email accounts with twitter, facebook, yahoo, and google. Advertize SFI. Read and re-read the Launch pad. Do what Gery says, it can be done. Go for the gold, but to make your life easier set up a standing order day one, and get all your vp on day one and stay on the ball. Thank you and God Bless You. You can do it!
Hi there partner, this is a very common question we sponsors get.
This is what i always tell my new Affiliates.
There is never a successful business without some investment and in addition to that i tell them that " A hand that gives is blessed than the one that's taking".
You see with those words alone partner they will make up their minds and know that a successful business is by investing.
I think it is simple. There are two things the affiliate should focus on:
Sponsoring new affiliates and visiting the to-do-list to carefully accomplish his daily tasks.
By using these, the affiliate stands to generate enough VersaPoints to elevate and sustain himself in the stipulated ranks. It is worth noting that very many new affiliates fail to achieve it this way simply because they lack a firm grip on the required information provided in the SFI Launchpads, and also on relevant computer & Internet skills.
My own experience of above was my missing the Fast Track provision which could have offered me 500 VPs at the time I started. I did not strive to take that opportunity owing to beginner's oversight.
As a sponsor, one should bear in mind that, excepting where the new affiliate has had a previous online business experience, much information and guidance is required especially in the first month.
