This is an interesting question that I may have un unpopular answer for. I have clicked on the link and greeted them personally with a note just saying "Hi! This is Leigh Ann, your sponsor, and I just noticed that you were signing up as I happened to be online. I just wanted to say hello and welcome you to my team!"
At this point, I have never received a reply and EVERY person that I have done this with have never been productive with SFI. In fact, I think that immediate contact may scare them off!
Here's what I do:
I have brief welcome letter that introduces myself and welcomes them to my team. I offer my assistance and make sure they understand that I truly am here to help them succeed. I email that message to them and get a very good response rate it. I tend to follow up with them a few days later, again offering any assistance, but not being pushy.
This helps to develop a good relationship with my PSA's. The IM link tends to be a little too much contact, too quickly, for many people. I use that tool for my PSA's as they become active. It's a great tool if used in the proper way!

Just welcome him/her to SFI and thank him to be your team member.Assure him/her all the assistance he.she will need.Keep it short and simple.Try to build a good relationship,because relationship is the backbone of network marketing.
You must welcome him/her with warm words. Thank him/her for being a part of your team. Introduce yourself to the affiliate and assure him full support as and when required. In short, grab the opportunity to develop initial contact.
I would first confirm that I have their permission to contact them via IM. You can tell if you have permission if you see a gold bubble on their SFI Account page (more information on this can be found here: https://www.sfimg.com/Training/AMTips.)
If I discover that I have permission to contact them via IM I would then introduce myself & keep it as brief and un-intimidating as possible. I would try to think about what might be going through their head at that very moment & remind them that it may seem like a lot of information but it doesn't have to be tackled in one day. You can take your time - go at your own pace. Fast or slow. That's the beauty of SFI!
I would tell them that if they needed help I am always here. I would give them alternative methods of reaching me in the future (some people are more comfortable using their own email, Skype or the phone for instance) I would ask them if they are finding their way around ok or if they thought they needed help.
It's hard to say what I would do past that point because I think that depends largely upon the response you receive from them. But it only takes a little contact to remind them that they aren't alone, they are not working in a void & they have your 100% support. That alone is a great motivation!

This is an important question. Once an affiliate signs up through your gateway, you receive a mail informing you about it and in the mail is contained a link to the affiliates snapshot and SFI encourages you to go to the snapshot and initiate a live chat with the affiliate if you notice the affiliate is online through the yellow bubble that appears below their passport. Why so? The reason is simply. More often than not, the affiliate is unsure what to do and a friendly conservation giving him a simple guide will be very helpful. What then should you say when you initiate the chat?
1. Introduce yourself to the affiliate as his/her sponsor.
2. Assure them that they've made the right decision to join SFI and tell him/her that you exist to support and help them, and that they can always count on your assistance.
3. Share your contact details (emails, phone number) so the affiliate can easily contact you.
4. Point them to your Leadership page for additional information and guidance.
5. Be brief, very friendly and keep things simple. Point them to the SFI Basics and tell them the important of starting well by getting at least 500 VP on their 1st 24 hours on SFI.

You first response is to greet them, Say Hello, and then welcome them to SFI. Let them know that you are their sponsor and you are there to help them with anything they may need. The First key to success with your down-line is Communication.
You can chat with him by welcoming or sending him a welcome message that would inspire him
to continue and be a part of SFI big family. Say something beneficial, what you learned share it.
His success would also be your success. Remember you can't become an effective sponsor if you don't try to be an awesome sponsor then. First, you read how to become an awesome sponsor as your guide, do it step by step and don't be too in a hurry. Tell your PSAs that while learning
they are at the same time earning.... As a sort of encouragement, read WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING
about SFI. At the bottom line of your HOMEPAGE there you can find it.

The first thing you should do is establish a connection with this affiliate, message them, let them know we are real people making real money and that you're there to help them succeed!
Sometimes just showing someone you're interesting in helping them goes a long way, they know they're not alone!
Click on the little yellow bubble and establish a connection with them. Just offer an informal welcome, but don't let that be a substitute for your normal welcome message.
Most new affiliates will probably never realize you are trying to start a chat with them, so don't be discouraged if they don't answer back.
