This is a great question! I choose the SFI banner that best fits the audience that will be viewing it. For example, if your blog is being seen by a lot of working moms, you should choose the SFI banner about "How Can You Spend More Time With Your Kids?" If older people are viewing your site, you may want to use the SFI banner that asks if they are worried about retirement.

I would decide using my instict of knowing whats idealing, and using myself as a judge and trust in myself; but pretty much all the banners are designed to fit anyones need.
Use your thoughts your idea and see if the design suits you, the color, the structure of everything, and the catching words.

For me the most important thing is the message on the banner. It should be written simple and easy to follow. It should provokes the people to think and to see the opportunity for a change in their life.

Choose two of a simple and the most presentable one but try to get some feedback from other viewer like your close friends. Eye catching one are the best.

I believe it would depend on several issues including the particular content on your website. To cut a long story short, be relevant! If there's information about saving money on your website, then a banner about Price bender auctions or the latest won auction could be a good complement. But again, the Internet has varied users who may act on impulse and grow an interest in a banner that had nothing to do with what they were looking for. However, I'd still advise one to be relevant to the scenario

in the world of advertising
language takes a little seductive and naughty.
because the only way that people will be interested to click on ads that we post.
no exception with banner ads, even more inspiration we pour to make ads more appealing.

example you can put a picture of a half naked and there are no words of seduction
"Honey ... will you see me for sharing happiness",
"I was a rich widow, had I waited a long time ........"
etc.

It is all a matter of of how much space you may have available wherever you put the banner. If you use it as a widget in your sidebar, then be sure to check it after entering your banner information, as it may throw all your information off kilter and make the site look messy! I do not think the color will matter too much as there are too many people that like different colors, so just go with what "you" like and maybe change it out every now and then to something different.

One good suggestion is to place your banner on a blog but set it up to rotate two or three banners at one time. You will see status of how many clicks, expressions, etc. You can install a plugin with Maxbanner Ads to do it. Just search it in google. It works great.

First of all, what type of website is it? If it's a business website, then you may want to use one that goes with what you're selling, so you'll want to use the SFI and TripleClicks. If it's more of a family or personal website you might want to target families, and advertise cleaning products, or health and wellness, pet products, etc...

You also want to take into consideration where you're placing the banner. If it's a small sidebar you might want to use a small 125 x 125 button
